Is the HAL site down?

I've tried accessing it from three different computers in my classroom (on lunch) AND the browser on my iPhone and keep getting a "cannot connect to the server" message.

Thanks! That's different from what I've been getting. Weird to do "scheduled maintenance" during a weekday IMHO, but I'm not the boss. Haha!

I would guess that the maintenance was scheduled because there was an issue

Yeah. To me "scheduled" means that it was intended. "Unscheduled" would indicate an issue. But that may just be me. ;)

Not shocked.

I got a call from them this morning. Apparently some pretty big hiccups/mistakes. They did an upsell for me last week, only to find this morning that they have oversold verandahs on my cruise, and we were bumped back to our inside. :( We were all so excited too.

They did give us $300 OBC. But she made it sound like it was a huge mistake and they had a lot to get worked out. So website down might be part of it.

Same day as me but i am on the Westerdam to Alaska! Sounds like the upgrade window has passed me by given you were already offered upgrade and the un-offered the upgrade! Total bummer!

HAL's IT folks do work at night and weekends, as needed. That is why they have their regular maintenance sessions at night and or weekend nights.

 

I do not know the current issue, but in fact with the weather we are having this week, believe me if they had a choice the would NOT do it during the day. I would choose to do it nights and enjoy the daytime weather we are currently scheduling. Doing it during the day versus the usually night shift by choice would be unthinkable for me and many Seattleites.

Just tried to go to their site to book a cruise. Kinda worried when it comes back online the price won't be the same haha :) Hope it's on soon so I can stop wondering!

I just tried to log in --took forever to get to the home page and when I tried to get to our reservation, it said it was down for maintenance, try again in 10 minutes.

 

Which I did and it still isn't up.
