good ways to kill time around maui airport before late flight?

We have a late flight, around 9pm, today out of maui (OGG). Could not get late checkout from our hotel in the wailea area. Looking for good non beach suggestions for interesting places to visit to kill time that is not swimming / getting wet. Since we'll be showered and want to stay dry / not have to change clothes again. Maybe some short hikes of less than 30 mins or exploring cool towns or a scenic drive.

 

Have already done iao valley needle hike, Maui tropical plantation, lahaina town, and hiked Haleakala crater. Not interested in aquariums.

 

Anything else interesting where we could kill some time between wailea and airport or maybe from airport to no more than an hour's drive? Also visited Maui brewing company in lahaina.

 

What are some good options for short hikes, great eye candy, and possibly some fantastic shave ice?

Do you ride? There is a Harley Dealership and rental near the airport and you can see a lot in a few hours.

We went to a local bar.... had a decent meal, had a few cocktails.... slept like a baby on the flight.. ;)

You won't want to do the Hana thing on the day you depart....

 

There are some shopping malls, near the Io Valley area....or you could check another hotel and see if they could get you a day room.....

 

That's alot of time to kill....we've done it and it ain't fun!!
