SATcruisers Posted August 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2014 We are Emerald status. Our son & his family are gold status. I assume that we'll be in different lines for embarkation. Are there different waiting areas? We're sailing out of Galveston

Rare island lady Posted August 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2014 If we have friends, relatives...etc. that are Gold members, we just get in line with them in the Gold line.
dacsmom Posted August 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I can only speak of experience in Tampa and Port Canaveral, but I have never had a problem bringing my traveling companion, usually one of my kids, in the line with me.
Rare island lady Posted August 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2014 interesting, being only gold, when we boarded, we were the only ones in the gold line and all the other lines were longer.... And you meet some of the nicest people in the world in the gold line...and in the gold waiting area. :)
Onessa Posted August 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2014 We have not had to do the "line" thing for boarding for any of our cruises for the past 10 years. We tend to board early and rarely have any of the lines more than two or three back. Is it just because we tend to board early, or is the ports where we board? -- I really just thought that the lines had figured out some ways to make it go more quickly. heyabbott Posted August 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Does early arrival correspond with early baggage delivery? Sent from my iPad using Forums
dacsmom Posted August 6, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I am an early bird too and have noticed there are few lines early on, I have even moved faster than I really wanted to when the well meaning port people point to the next station. I imagine the lines can get pretty long in the afternoon. I am really looking forward to my Allure cruise, I have heard they have port management down to a science. setsail Posted August 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Everyone uses the same line/ramp to get on the ship, boarding. Check in has different lines for c&a,suite, etc. You should be able to check in together. Boarding will not be a problem

cb at sea Posted August 6, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 6, 2014 If your bags are on the BOTTOM of the pile, they will be delivered later than those on top. Your status has nothing to do with your luggage!
