How do you schedule Explore 4 Pinnacle dinner?

Every post I've read on the subject (which is all of them), has said that the reservation is made for you.

Some people have said that they have been able to change their assigned times, but usually they have changed them to either very early, or very late times.

There should be a card in you stateroom when you arrive advising you as to date & time. If by chance it isn't just call the Pinnacle and they will advise you. Some have had luck changing their reservations while others have not, guess it depends how full the res list is.

If you want to change the date/time of the E4 Pinnacle dinner that's been assigned for you, I suggest you visit the Pinnacle as soon as you possibly can. That's the best chance to move to a time that works for you.

On our May Amsterdam cruise, the Pinnacle at dinnertime was more crowded than we've seen it on past cruises. That was because of Explore4.

We booked a paid reservation online and then had our Explore 4 credit applied to the paid reservation time. That left us with a $29 pp shipboard credit, but gave us the desired time. We went directly to the Pinnacle Grill after boarding and dropping off our carry ons. We requested that the Pinnacle manager apply the Explore 4 to our paid reservation time and he did.

You will need the manager's cooperation and you run the risk that they'll tell you no. It did work for us though.

I imagine they get a lot of requests for changes. We would want to dine with our friends or family who would be cruising with us.

This spring we traveled with had 3 other couples and all 8 of us had the Explore4 promotion. Our TA "linked" all the bookings together so that the arrangements the Pinnacle made were for a party of 8.

So, if your reservations are not linked do so. If you group is large it might present a problem as seating for "large" groups is very limited.

Thanks for the great advice!

Same thing for us. We had a party for 6. We linked all three staterooms thru our PCC. Even though the other couples did not join us for Late fixed dining, the Explore4 Pinnacle dinner was still linked and we all had the cards in our initial stateroom welcome excursion pack.

We did the exact same on Noordam this past February and had no problems.

To our surprise, when we boarded the Eurodam in May for the Baltic cruise, we had a card in our cabin informing us we had a Pinnacle dinner as part of our Explore 4 package and that we should let the concierge in the Neptune lounge know our preferred day and time for our reservation. We had fully expected to be assigned to a reservation date and time.

This is interesting. I have e4 on my next cruise in a Neptune Suite and I was already planning to leverage the NL concierge to help us fix the inevitably less than perfect time.

OP - we had e4 on our last cruise that wasn't in a suite and we went to the PG in person right after we had lunch on boarding day and changed it with no issue. There was a growing line of people doing the same thing, so I bet those who came late may have left unhappy. We still ended up with a technically less ideal time (5:00) but it worked for us and we were happy to change our originally scheduled 9:30 time.

Worked for us on the Eurodam too.
