kaisatsu Posted August 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Our ship stops in Kristiansand and we are wondering if they take either the USD or the euro. Thank you! :) They'll definitely take USD or EUR if you hand it to them in the form of a credit card! ;) Seriously, the number of places in Norway that happily take credit cards (even for a pack of gum) is astonishing. sppunk Posted August 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Norwegian currency is the NOK (krone). That is what you should give them if paying cash.
thinfool Posted August 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2014 Norway will never officially use the Euro. Businesses can, at their discretion, accept euros or USD's. Likely their exchange rate will be less than great. You can also easily get local currency by using your ATM card at a local ATM in Norway. It will dispense NOK according to the latest market exchange rates.
