New menu - Liberty

I sailed "Liberty" last month, and the lovely Mrs. Jones is aboard right now. Don't have a copy of the menu, but I can tell you that I personally, didn't have a problem with it at all. In fact, I enjoyed the slight change. Unless you're a "food junkie", and looking for something very specific, I think you'll enjoy dinner aboard "Liberty".

We were just on the liberty two weeks ago. I don't have pictures of the menu, but we are in the MDR every night so I may be able to answer questions if you are looking for something specific. I can tell you that we thought the food was very good, good enough that my three kids didn't order off of the children's menu once the entire week. They were all able to find something that the wanted.

Add me to the list of folks who'd like to see the 8 day menus. I imagine they are similar to the 7 day but I am really curious as to how the ports of call menus change with the different ports. Will get to experience them firsthand next month!

While looking at the 7 day menus I notice that the flatbread toppings don't change. Do they really keep them the same the whole cruise? That seems like a bummer.

Where did you see the 7 day updated menu? (Is this the same for the Glory?) We are sailing on the Glory for a 7 day in early September and the latest menu I have been able to find was from May- and I believe they have changed it since then.

Just got off the Liberty today after an 8 day Southern Caribbean. Food in the MDR was great. No reason for my wife and I to do the buffet or steakhouse.

As to copies of the menu, we got a very large menu at the table daily, plus we could see it on our TV. There was nothing I could take home to show you.

Choices were good, no matter the day. It had good appetizers, main course, and desserts that you could get all of if you desired.

Choices I remember were flat steak offered nightly. Different cold soups nightly, different types of fish, prime rib offered one night. Lobster offered on the first elegant night (with no limit). The MDR aft, 3rd floor offered sit down breakfasts every morning, including the last morning on departure day (7-9am).

We had early dining so we were sitting at 6pm and out no later then 7:30pm. There were 3 working the tables. None of them looked stressed out that we had. We always had water being filled. Bar runner was good, with a little wait.

What more can I help you with.? I brought home the daily activity sheets and will be doing a full review within a few days....

As to the port of calls menus, each night at the bottom of the regular menu, they list 3 items as the port of call choices. A specialty drink, an appetizer, and a main course item if I remember right. Even my wife does not remember.

How was the situation with the cabin AC? There had been recent reports of cabins being hot due to the AC not functioning properly. TIA

Our cabin AC worked just fine. I like it cool, and got it....When I woke up in the middle of the night, I had to warm the cabin up a tad and get under covers....So yea, ours worked just fine.....:)

Also off the Liberty this morning. LOVED the new menus. Didn't take pictures of them, but did take quite a bit of food porn for my upcoming review. Overall, I thought the food was very good!

Also, no issues with our cabins A/C. 7201 / 7203.

I would love to try the new menu. Freedom was supposed to get it, but then it was cancelled. Either way, I will enjoy the food on my upcoming cruise, but I am really a little disappointed that the new menu didn't get put on the Freedom.

I was on the Liberty way back in 2009 with my Mom and had the best cruise of my life, we both did!

I will look forward to your review.:)

We will also be on this Fridays sailing and looking forward to the new menu. I have seen quite a few posts lately regaring the A/C on Crnival ships but dont rememeber the cabin being too warm. I remember that until the ship sails the cabin was not that cool but it seemed to get cooler after we left port.

I was on the 7/27 sailing and agree the temp was warmer at port Canaveral, but actually was too cold most of the time. I had to keep turning the temp up. We were in 8346.

Different cold soups nightly.

The cold soups weren't on the original change. I've got family members traveling with me next month that will be VERY glad to hear they are back. :)
