Free Parking near White Bay

For Central to White Bay, the shuttle for P&O needed to be booked online prior to the day and was $15 per person. A cab may cost anywhere between $25 and $40 traffic dependent.

Friends of our who travel by train found that they could book a shuttle from the ship to Central at the end of the cruise, but this wasn't available from Central to the ship at the start of the cruise. When they got off the train, the bus was there bringing disembarking passengers, but the driver wouldn't take them to the ship.

There will be four of us so the taxi will be more cost effective.

Does anyone know of any free parking near White Bay.

 

Heading out on a three night cruise so though of parking within 5 k's or so and getting a taxi to the wharf.

In answer to your actual question...yes there is .... In Robert Street just outside the security gate (not accessable to private vehicles) at White Bay there is unrestricted parking (quite a bit actually) which is used by nearby workers from surrounding businesses but not sure how early you would have to get there to snare one. It is a walk of about 800 metres to the terminal from the area and the cabs woulds would not go past there ordinarily. Don't know about the security side of it though as it is a little bit remote.........as is White Bay I guess..Suppose you could end up with a car like in the photo but it is an option.
