What do you like to do FIRST!

We drop our carry ons in the room and then go have a drink

 

After the first drink we get another and walk to the casino first and then other areas of the ship.....then get something for lunch and continue drinking till muster drill.....Afer musters over it's up on the deck for more drinks and Sailaway

 

Once were underway for awhile it's time hit up the casino where the first night we're normally in there till 1-2am

 

Sometime in between this I'll go up and put the luggage in the room

If we can't drop bags in our cabin, we find a little bit of real estate on an open deck and sip on froo froo drinks. If we can ditch the bags, we explore the ship and take pictures.

Last time we dropped our bags (yeah, we weren't supposed to yet, cabinmates didn't know and steward offered and it was SO AWKWARD because I didn't want to make more work for him, we'd just gone to see where it was but it erally was okay long term) and headed straight for the Serenity hot tub and pool. (the pool was WAY COLD, but the hot tub was awesome.) Not sure what we'll do this time!

Last cruise we carried our swim suits in our carry on luggage so we changed in the bathroom and headed for the hot tubs. It was January in Galveston so the tubs were the only place to get warm outside. We couldn't go into our room yet so we just had to set our bags by the hot tub but we were the only ones in the hot tub as most people have their suits in check in luggage.

For some reason, I have terrible travel anxiety.

As soon as I board, I go to the room and change into my bikini. I have to make sure that all the luggage has arrived, the extras I've ordered have arrived (water/booze), the excursions are booked correctly...then my husband will finally say, "can I get you a drink" which is code for "try to calm down now" :eek: he's a good soul. I imagine I'm quite a sight to see during this time. We head onto deck for the first drink while we explore the ship and people watch.

We always carry shorts and stuff in our carry on. We head directly to lido and the pool for cold drinks and snacks. :D

I always want to do everything at once- explore the ship, check out the room/unpack, get a drink and lunch, soak up the sun and people watch. Leaving in 7 days so I'll need to figure out how to do 5 things at once!

I still cruise for Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (with 2 sugar-free vanilla ice-creams)

For us vacation starts when we leave home (no kids and we have a 9-12 hour drive depending on which port we leave from!)

 

First thing I do is make that big step onto the ship (ding) and extend my hand to the closest waiter/waitress with a tray of drinks! Hello vacation, yes I'm drinking at 11am. We then make our way to a room to drop off bags and check everything out. After that it's up to Lido to grab lunch and possibly another drink! People watching for a little while is good for me then back to our room to see if luggage has arrived! If so, then I like to get everything unpacked and organized. THIS is when I officially feel like I can relax...no more must-do's, no more planning, just living on vacation time! Head to muster drill (only because they frown upon not going) and then either up to Lido or back to our balcony for sail away!
