Rare GeezerCouple Posted September 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2014 We always prefer bottles (soda, water, juice) when possible, at home or away, so that's what we bring on board. Bottles can be re-capped, and won't spill - in the car, on a nightstand, on a desk, or walking around on a cruise. GeezerCouple
Hikini Posted September 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2014 A mixture. I like the 16.9 oz plastic bottles, and DH prefers the mini pop cans. I always put them in a foldable insulated soft-sided Coleman cooler, put a luggage tag on it and it shows up at our door.
coaster Posted September 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) Cans to start. Soda around handle of box. Cans not considered soda elsewhere. Glue gun to reseal box of 'soda' needed. Soda in 2 liter bottles for primary consumption. Edited September 25, 2014 by coaster
tallyho8 Posted September 26, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 26, 2014 My wife drinks Diet Coke and will usually finish one once opened so she brings cans. I drink regular Coke but only with rum or bourbon and only a few ounces at a time so I bring bottles I can cap up so they don't go flat too quickly. I never bring 2 liter drinks because they don't fit in the refrigerator and if opened hot they go flat real fast and if you put ice in a hot drink it waters it down too much. shealea Posted September 26, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2014 I've always brought the plastic bottles that you can re-cap. I don't always drink the whole bottle at once, so I can re-cap it and drink it as I go. I often carry it in my shoulder bag that I carry around on the ship. Also, on shore excursions I bring it in my bag and can drink it throughout the day.
drvalo Posted September 28, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) We usually bring 12 pks packed in luggage. The one time we brought bottles we were sent to the "naughty room" to retrieve our luggage so we could prove we were not bringing in contraban. That never has happened with the cans.
