Pre & Post Cruise stay

This is our scenario....we are flying/staying in Fort Lauderdale pre & post cruise that departs POM. We plan on probably using SAS for shuttle from hotel to port morning of cruise. I believe they will bring us back but only to airport, not hotel. Is this correct? Also, we arrive Saturday for Sunday cruise departure. We get in at 7:30. We will want to get water and soda to take on the ship. Any recommendations for hotels that are near airport that will provide cheap shuttle from airport but within walking distance to buy water/soda. Post cruise, would also like to be somewhat near beach/something to do for the day.

If you look down the board you will see MANY hotel recommendations. Further, you will find that the 17th St area has many of the things you mention- stores, cheap shuttle, or more commonly, taxi, transportation, etc. Embassy Suites is the one we have used several times, and gets mentioned very regularly.

 

No need to bring on more than one refillable bottle of water per person. The water on board is as pure, if not more pure, than most bottled water, tastes great, is FREE, and doesn't come with a plastic waste problem.

Check out the Sleep Inn and Suites in Dania Beach. They're only about a mile from the beach.

With restaurants near the hotel.

It sounds like you want a beach area hotel on a budget. Try these:

Alhambra Resort

Best Western Oceanside

Bahia Mar

Pre-cruise, I'd suggest Sleep Inn, Dania.

Places to eat, dollar type store and Walgreens, all next door.

Might be too far from the beach for post-cruise stay.
