mollyanne Posted January 3, 2015 #251 Share Posted January 3, 2015 I stand corrected - it IS coming back to port. I hope it's not a serious situation for the passenger involved.
Rare kazu Posted January 3, 2015 #252 Share Posted January 3, 2015 I doubt I will make it until midnight to see the P'dam go. But I am sorely tempted even if it is at night. I wish she would go more in the daylight, but she is a special ship with her own special itineraries. Thanks to Lou and Dave and Chief for starting the thread. Thanks for the great pics. It was a nice break from my work on halfacts.com. Have a great night all

PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #254 Share Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) From the map Oasis is on her way back in. Interesting she is only traveling at 12.1. Seems a little slow to me but then what do I know. Edited January 4, 2015 by PathfinderEss
PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #255 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Maybe I'm wrong but I just looked at Marine Traffic and the Oasis OTS does not appear to be returning to port. I am interested because we have friends on it. My dentist is on board too.

Rare Scrapnana Posted January 4, 2015 #264 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Copper, Not to be totally morbid but if there had been a death would they have returned to port?
PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #265 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Just keeping good thoughts that the person will be ok.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 4, 2015 #266 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Copper, Not to be totally morbid but if there had been a death would they have returned to port? Totally depends on the circumstances surrounding the death; all of the modern cruise ships have morgues
Rare Vict0riann Posted January 4, 2015 #267 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Copper, Not to be totally morbid but if there had been a death would they have returned to port? I imagine they would have to, wouldn't they? -if it was that soon after departure - and the deceased's family, or people travelling with him would probably want to disembark, too. PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #268 Share Posted January 4, 2015 A few weeks ago she had come back in and I heard that the person had passed away on board. They were back in port quite a while.

Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 4, 2015 #270 Share Posted January 4, 2015 This is a medical emergency/disembark, not a death! There would not be a Fire and paramedic rig standing by if it was
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 4, 2015 #271 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Totally depends on the circumstances surrounding the death; all of the modern cruise ships have morgues Thanks! I would expect returning to port is an expensive proposition.

PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #273 Share Posted January 4, 2015 What we couldn't figure out, maybe Copper knows, last time and this time she was almost down to Miami. Why didn't she go into that port? Is she to big to go into Miami or what?

PathfinderEss Posted January 4, 2015 #275 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Took this off the RC board "A Facebook friend is on this ship and said there was a drowning in the pool. So sad!" How true, who knows but if it is, really sad.
