njhorseman Posted January 8, 2015 #26 Share Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) On the day we are sailing on the Regal, the schedule shows NCL in Brooklyn. Does that mean we will sail from Manhattan? Is there more than one birth at Red Hook? Thanks, Rick It's clearly a misprint on the schedule. The "B" belongs next to the Regal Princess, not the Norwegian Gem. Look at the schedules for the week before (9/26) and the week after (10/3)...those are correct. The Norwegian Gem will be sailing from Manhattan as it always does. donaldsc Posted January 9, 2015 #28 Share Posted January 9, 2015 There are three ports: Manhattan Cruise Terminal, on the west side of Manhattan - I believe only NCL sails from there - great sailing down the Hudson past the heart of the city; Bayonne - which is in New Jersey - used by Royal Caribbean - very close to Newark Airport; Brooklyn - Cunard and occasionally Princess. For sure that HAL also uses the West Side Terminal. We sailed into NYC on the Masdaam this fall and disembarked there. DON

DON This thread is dealing with cruising out of New York. With the exception of some Carnival itineraries in the next few months, and a couple on Crystal, NCL seems to be the only line with regular cruises out of Manhattan for the next year and a half. I know Celebrity sometimes calls at Manhattan on T/A's, and HAL used to sail regularly, but unfortunately gave it up. It would appear that NCL has effectively priced the competition out when it comes to any regular sailings.
