MCO to a Cocoa Beach hotel

Trying to go from MCO to a Cocoa Beach area hotel seems to be a little more complicated then it was in 2006 (the last time I left out of Port Canaveral).

Looked into a rental car. But verifying that there is a rental office in Cocoa Beach or Cape Canaveral open on a Sunday seems a little harder than it should be.

Looked into a shuttle service. Several from MCO to Port Canaveral, however, I am flying in the day before (flying in Saturday for a Sunday embarkation). Others say they service the Cocoa Beach area, but only list hotels in Orlando.

Can anyone recommend a rental car company with locations at MCO and Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach with a shuttle to the port, or a shuttle service that will take me to a hotel in Cocoa Beach from MCO?

We're using Avis, renting at MCO the day before the cruise, then taking the car back Sunday morning. They will take you to the port after you drop off the car. We got a great deal with my husband's corporate code, but there are many codes out there that will get you a decent rate.

If you do not want to drive Cocoa Beach shuttle will take you from MCO to a PC/Cocoa Beach hotel - from there you can use the hotel shuttle or a taxi to get to the port.

Alternatively you can stay at a hotel near MCO, use the hotel shuttle to get back to the airport, and then take Cocoa Beach shuttle straight to your ship.

We have booked a private town car service and have used them 3 times.

Three adults, 6 suitcases,

$105 including tip.

They wait for you at the down escalator at MCO with your name on a sign.

Help get baggage.

Go to waiting car.

Worth every cent.

Safe travels.

You can also use Budget, Hertz, or Thrifty. You can go to each of these company's websites, find the location in Cocoa Beach, and the hours of operation will be listed.

I knew there were four rental offices, but I only located three. Thrifty was the one I didn't remember.
