Can you use OBC toward gratuities?

My $1.30 that they refunded to my credit card was given to me by celebrity not a TA.

Of course I didn't expect to get it back, that is why I withdrew what I didn't spend through the casino.

Now that you mention it, I recall that I also had some onboard credit from Celebrity that was refundable.

I don't remember the reason for it and really didn't pay much attention to it at the time.

Yes, you are right. It certainly is possible to get refundable OBC from Celebrity, although most usually is not.

But simply glancing at the code immediately shows whether or not the OBC is refundable, regardless of the source.

How on earth would you ever use up four to six million of OBC!

On the Reflection at one of the expensive gift shops (the ones located across from picture galleries) they have Faberge Eggs. When I talked with one of the sales staff the cheapest was $10,000. After hearing that I did not ask what was the most expensive. So you could at least put a dent in that amount :D:D Also the casino.

The casino cashier will do this, give you a charge receipt to sign. It will cost you a fee of 5% of the amount

IMO, the only time it's worth cashing in OBC in the casino is when you will be left with non-refundable OBC on your account. Then, of course, it's worth 5% to cash it out. I remember when they didn't charge any fee for getting cash out of the casino. People used to get thousands of dollars out each day, hold onto the cash, get reward points on their CC, and then use the cash to pay back their credit card when they got home. I never did it, but I know many who did. I think the cruiselines got wise to this and that's why they started charging a fee.

Easy Peasy

Either book a few cruises or

Just tell herself it was there, and it would very soon be there no more, there are shops and spas on board so she'd have no trouble with a triffle like 6 mill.
