LP2 Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I am doing a B2B on the Island Princess starting 3/6 in LA. Does anyone know if I can purchase the larger internet package and use it until the end of the second cruise in Venice.
jrzebird Posted January 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I am doing a B2B on the Island Princess starting 3/6 in LA. Does anyone know if I can purchase the larger internet package and use it until the end of the second cruise in Venice. My experience has been that my minutes rolled over to the second part of the b2b. However, it is safest to ask the Internet tech onboard, because each ship seems to be different. Colo Cruiser Posted January 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I agree, best to speak with the internet manager once onboard. ;)
LP2 Posted January 30, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Thanks for your replies, I will check before I purchase. It's just much more economical to get the larger # of minutes.
AZbeachboy Posted January 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2015 You might check with a couple of sources. Some have report that they do roll over and others said they did not. So asking people who are more official would be better and get it in writing if you can. I just heard that it is a leased operation which means that each ship may handle it differently. Pam in CA Posted January 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2015 The Internet Managers work for MTN, not Princess. Which could explain the inconsistency. It's possible that if the two cruises are also sold as one, the minutes roll over but if they are two separate cruises with different booking numbers, they wouldn't. Best to ask. Lovetocruiseprincess Posted January 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2015 On our last 3 cruises the minutes did roll over and was told each time that it was a fluke & they shouldn't have so I would check with the Internet Manager as Pam in CA has said before purchasing much more than you need. paul929207 Posted January 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Our left over minutes have always rolled over whether we booked as one cruise or two. However, I am talking about the Platinum/Elite credit time.
whatcruiseisnext Posted January 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) We just got off BtoB's on the Regal and had Elite internet minutes. They did NOT roll over. So as stated.....best to check once on the ship as it appears not to be consistent. Edited January 30, 2015 by whatcruiseisnext
Rare geoherb Posted January 30, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Our Internet minutes rolled over when we had the same cabin for b2b cruises and did not when we had to change cabins last month.
Lovetocruiseprincess Posted January 30, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Our Internet minutes rolled over when we had the same cabin for b2b cruises and did not when we had to change cabins last month. Was that on the CB? If so, I'll make it a point to use up all out minutes each cruise.
I object 2 Posted January 30, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Just returned from a b2b on Caribbean Princess booked as two separate cruises with different booking numbers. The internet manager told us any unused minutes from the first leg would not roll over to the second leg. He was correct. :(
ar1950 Posted January 30, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Just returned from a b2b on Caribbean Princess booked as two separate cruises with different booking numbers. The internet manager told us any unused minutes from the first leg would not roll over to the second leg. He was correct. :( Same situation on our B2B on the Regal. I mentioned to the Internet manager that on our last B2B a month before on the Golden the minutes did roll over. I guess he thought that I was being nice and not being a complainer and he said "Come see me on the second leg and I will see what I can do". I did show up an the second day and he did roll over our leftover minutes. We still didn't use them all by the end of the second leg. BTW, these were Platinum benefit minutes so we weren't worried about the cost. YMMV Edited January 30, 2015 by ar1950
