Pre cruise hotel in Ft. Lauderdale

Recommended Posts

Hi

Any recommendations on a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale where we can have a view of the ships coming in? Sailing on Oasis January 2, 2016 and will possibly go for NYE.

Embassy suites on 17th ave, wont let you down and free shuttle to cruise port. Very nice place with free happy hour and nice pools.

Hyatt Pier 66. Ask for a tower room- beautiful view. Go to the top of the tower to the observation platform, and you can see the entire port area and watch the ships pull out.

From there, you can even walk over the drawbridge to see the ships, or grab something to eat.

We really love the Hyatt and stay there every time!

Thanks. Do you know what there is to do around that hotel? We will be spending NYE there before our cruise and will not have a car.

Does Embassy Suites charge a fee to leave your car while on your cruise?

I believe it is somewhere around $7 a day to leave your car there.

To the OP, Embassy Suites is across the street from a large shopping area and within walking distance of many restaurants. It is a very nice hotel with a breakfast that is included in the price. All the rooms are suites, with a very comfortable sofa bed in the living room, and a full Keurig and regular coffee set up in each room.
