Yes, although they really looked after them and now have sworn them to secrecy.

It's a bit like old TV......."tune in folks for the next thrilling instalment"

Even if they are "sworn to secrecy' - Yes and No are affirmative answers......."tune in for the next thrilling instalment" :p

Thank you to every single one of you,

who is interested in the resolution to Our current issue!!!

I have appreciated, all of your replies...

Thank You, to ALL of You, for your General Interest & support !!

I/We don't feel quite, so isolated & alone, in trying to sort this out.

It's been a "right Royal, schmozzle"... (One way or another…)

We the retail public aren't as ignorant and as complacent as we were in the past....we in fact can be a whole lot more knowledgeable than the salesperson......having worked in retail for way too many years I have seen so many people take ownership of their mistakes, and we all make them, BUT when it comes to resolve and the possiblity of making a loss from, in this instance, one sale they balk....pfft..... man up agency, cop the loss and regain the confidence of your client ... a greater loss to you could come via word of mouth.......and we all know bad news travels faster than good....

I definitely agree with what you are saying.

Both Hubby & I have run several Businesses, in our past years, on this Planet.

(Yes, they have been rather Small, Home Based Businesses, but we developed some unique products that targeted a niche market, at that those times. – We did OK.)

I fully understand your logic, as if “We”, messed up, any orders, (not often – Thank Goodness!) but “We” had to take a Loss, in order to keep that Client, in the future.

But would like to re-iterate, Everyone is Human, & even though we do try our best, mistakes CAN occur.

That’s part of life’s journey….

& YES, I do agree, that bad news, does travel fast these days…

The internet now, is a wealth of information & many folks DO Love to vent their issues, to the World!

Hi Dizzy,

Sorry, to keep you in suspense, on the next episode....

WE are working Hard, on completing the next Script/TV Series episode….

So Far, there hasn’t been a quick & easy resolution to this particular TV plot.

& I fully understand your interest in this topic/TV episode.

If WE weren’t involved, WE would be interested too,

as to the resolution/outcome, for future reference!

This is some what different to this story.

Friend due to sail last Saturday, confirmed ocean view. Gets call last Friday, overbooked, offered a full refund, a free cruise in a minisuite, plus $150 ea as compensation re airfares, accom. Now being she lives in Sydney there were no airfares or accom costs. She took it.:)

I hope this one gets resolved soon.

Move over offers happen. just not that often and not to me:(, not sure what I'd do if offer was made.

Do you know what freedom she got in choosing the replacement cruise?

Wow that's a great deal if one is lucky enough to have flexibility in leave-taking! I get mild panics the week before every cruise that I'll get an overbooked call and be doomed haha.

I've never heard of anyone getting kicked off due to overbooking but have heard of people getting repeated offers each better than the last, which I expect they keep doing till they get enough takers, and then give upgrades if necessary.

IE if OVs are overbooked and all other categories are at 100% and the first person to take the offer is a Balcony someone is gong to get an upgrade.

She was offered a cruise anywhere in the world. They took an Australian Coastal. They were bumped off an NZ one and they took the deal as they had done a NZ previously.

She didn't have to take it....I guess they would just keep contacting people until one said yes to the deal. It doesn't bother her as the next cruise is in 6 weeks and as I said she had already done the NZ cruise before.

I hope we find out what's happened to the OP. I keep coming back to look. lol.

The CONLUSION to this Story! Yay!! :D

We now have an Extended Balcony Midship.

T.A. has said she "will look after us" with some OBC.

So will find out once on board.

♥♥♥♥ Thank you to everyone!... ♥♥♥♥

...for your support, & allowing me to vent some of the initial disappointment & frustration. It REALLY helped a lot!

Finally got the cases out & started thinking about packing for next week.
