paul929207 Posted February 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Each cruise line has there own way of assigning priority for tenders. If you don't have priority, you will need to get a ticket. first come first serve.
JimAOk1945 Posted February 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) You might try talking to a cruise line representative at the Shore Excursion Desk after you get on board your ship. Belize is fantastic! Have a great excursion! Edited February 10, 2015 by JimAOk1945
NMLady Posted February 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2015 What is the best way to ensure an early tender spot since we booked with a private tour? Thanks! Make sure you get one of the lowest number tender tickets. As soon as they start giving them, be in line to get one. The ship newsletter will tell you where and when. OCruisers Posted February 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2015 Get in line! Private guides know how this works...they will wait! The independent tour operators are very familiar with the tendering procedure so they know you might be a bit late. ;) LuLu
bendecida Posted February 18, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Thanks for all your replies. NM Lady, Where do I pick up the ship's newsletter? or is it available online? We'll be going on RCI Navigator of the Seas.
Sammied3000 Posted February 18, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Did this in 2012, was an easy tender over and about 10 mins.No long waiting or lines. Your news letter will be delivered nightly for the next day's event.
NMLady Posted February 18, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Thanks for all your replies.NM Lady, Where do I pick up the ship's newsletter? or is it available online? We'll be going on RCI Navigator of the Seas. Each night a copy of the ship's newsletter will be left either on your bed or in the mailbox slot outside your door. It lists the activities for the next day, the hours of bars and dining rooms, the entertainment, and other important news for the next day, such as info about tendering. For each port it will also list the All Aboard time and will give the Port Agent information. The All Aboard time will also be on a sign as you leave the ship. zqvol Posted February 18, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 18, 2015 What is the best way to ensure an early tender spot since we booked with a private tour? Thanks! About 35% of the people on the ship have private tours and all of them are told the same thing, ie., be on the first tender. Well it doesn't happen. The trick to getting a tender as early as possible is to get in the line for tender tickets as early as possible. Other than that there is nothing that you can do to get off the ship faster for a private excursion.

gerryl12 Posted February 19, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 19, 2015 When and where do you get the tender tickets? The same morning the ship is going into the port? Is there a fee for tender tickets? The tender ticket procedure will be given to you the night before, usually in a letter. You get your tender tickets when you are ready to go, BE EARLY. The tenders are free, you paid for them in your fare. Have fun.
trev71 Posted February 20, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 20, 2015 I think you are on your own. I do know when we went to Belize we booked a tour direct with royal and they were letting them groups off first.
rvsullivan Posted February 20, 2015 #17 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Every cruise line is a little different, but, in general: Tender tickets are available the night before, rarely the morning of. Suites/VIP's get off first, then ships tours, then everyone else. Independent tour operators always tell you to be first off, nearly impossible for everyone to be able to do that, they will wait. All ships anchor about 5 miles offshore, it takes some time to fill a tender with about 100 or more people, then make the run in. Get in line early for tender tickets and you probably can be on the second or third tender. Do NOT be late for the last tender, the ship will not wait!!
