Global Casino Services

Wrote to Michael Bayona about casino perks for our upcoming cruise. I got two surprises - it's now called Global Casino Services and we can forget about perks!! In the past, the lowest amount we've ever received was $25. Our casino spending is fairly consistent on each cruise and our last cruise was in September. Such is life - I guess I'll go to Vegas or else save my casino money for casinos that are in each port.

Thank you for contacting Global Casino Services!

Unfortunately, you do not qualify for any pre-boarding comps on this cruise. Please ensure you check-in with the casino host once on board as they will provide you with on-board comps based on your level of play.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.

Same thing for me. Our second cruise we got chocolate covered strawberries and a photo coupon. Our last cruise my husband and I both received $25. This last cruise was over New Years and we played the same amount, if not a little more, than normal. We are cruising again in March and I got the same response you did - we don't qualify. Hmmmmm.

A quick check of the ocean players club website shows the name ocean players club is not visible anywhere aside from the URL. I guess they aren't doing it with some grand rebranding with logo giveaways and stuff. Just sneaking it in like a ghost ship in the night.

My perks have gotten better. I'm getting a free balcony and $1000 cash on my next Premier Cruise. Depends on who the casino hosts and pit bosses are. If you get Bunny (currently on Breeze) you're in luck! If you get Bogdan (he was on Glory but not sure where he is now) you're out of luck!

Good I'm going on the breeze next month

You're in luck. Not only Carnival's best ship, they also have a GREAT casino staff! She treated me better than any casino host I've ever had on Carnival (around 10 cruises). She would always check on me to see if I was doing alright, having a nice day, ask me about my days in port, etc. And I don't seek out the hosts or bug them. Such a nice change from the typical Carnival casino experience.

I guess that's why they moved her to their flagship. :)

Bogdan was the casino manager on the Splendor over New Year's.

Yeah I want a free balcony and $1000. How much do you usually play??

Too much. ;)

I stick to the tables, therefore the hosts and pit bosses are very important for tracking your play. Average bet is around $150 playing mostly blackjack with a little craps and roulette thrown in throughout the week. I don't spend my entire cruise at the tables though. Usually before dinner each night between 6-8pm and again for an hour or two after dinner, depending on how lively the alchemy, piano bar or night clubs are.

We've only taken advantage of one of the free Premiere Offers because for the last couple of years we've each received a freebie from a land-based Casino which we could use for any sailing. When we sailed last time we did a B2B on the Fantasy, each of us using one of our freebies. I called Michael before we sailed and was told that because the booking was not initiated by Carnival we would not be entitled to any cruise cash whatsoever. It seemed counter-intuitive to me, because however the cruise was booked, you would still think they would want to encourage us to be in the casino as much as possible.

Long story short, karma is alive and well because while we were ignored by VIP Services, we ended up winning enough throughout the 10 days to pay for all of the ancillary costs (hotel, airfare, etc.), our Cheers! program, all of our onboard purchases, etc. Also, the Casino Host treated us to massages, and a host of other treats as usual (that they haven't cut back on).

In the past, we've been offered the free cruise thru Carnival and cruise cash....but left with a hefty Sign and Sail (and lots of American Express miles, LOL!).

Yeah you earned that then. I'll play 10-25 hands. But spend like 6-7 hours when I play. All table games and I drink a ton. Usually towards the end of the night I'll bet $100-500 hands.

I'm up there with my bets during my second session after dinner as well and probably drink too much too.

I used to keep my $500 bets for BJ but now I'm slowly getting into craps. I'll take my $500, pick whoever I feel is going to roll well and put it down at the craps table. I had a lady roll very well on my last cruise and won me $3500. I gave her $100 and we were both happy.

What Premier Cruise are you going on?

Does anyone know who the casino hosts are on the Pride? We are going on the upcoming premier cruise and hoping to have a great time.

I am getting $900 in casino cash and my husband is getting $400 cuz he always plays craps. I had over 12,000 points last 7 day cruise. ;)

No where in this letter does it saying anything about not having perks anymore, which is what you insinuate. Sorry you did not qualify but as we have seen time and time again, qualifying for perks seems very random. Some people get a free cruise minimum betting on a slot machine for one hour the entire cruise and others get nothing despite playing and losing thousands of dollars. Maybe next time you will get more perks.

No complaints here...2 cruises last year at 40% off plus $75 casino cash and $50 OBC on one of them plus a offer for a cruise for $25 (too bad I couldn't go on that one)...I have a current offer now at 60% off as well....at this kind of savings who cares about a photo coupon and some chocolate covered strawberry's... just sayin:rolleyes:

We had Bunny in 2013 when we were on Freedom. Really liked her.
