BellBoys Posted February 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Hello: I noticed that on the Eurodam there is both Le Cirque and De Librije. We have dined at Le Cirque and understand that the Pinnacle Grill is transformed for one evening into Le Cirque. Is De Librije handled in the same manner or is it held in a different location
freestyling Posted February 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2015 it is a one night event in the Pinnacle Grill.
rkacruiser Posted February 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Both dinners are unique events. The physical layout of the PG is not transformed for either. But, the Steward's uniforms as well as the color of the place settings are for De Librije. For Le Cirque, the place settings differ from the norm, I think. Both were very interesting dining experiences. I am pleased that I have experienced them both.
Rare visagrunt Posted February 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Le Cirque is a lovely dinner--but the taste of Die Librije is, without question, the best dining experience I have ever had on board ship.
PathfinderEss Posted February 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Le Cirque is a lovely dinner--but the taste of Die Librije is, without question, the best dining experience I have ever had on board ship. Wish they had the De Librije choice on the other Hal ships, not just the Eurodam. Wonder if it will ever go fleet wide?
Rare visagrunt Posted February 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2015 I will be doing it again on the Rotterdam in October. I will keep talking it up, in the hopes that positive response and customer demand will see more of this kind of thing. I'd love to see partnerships with other restaurants, so that each ship can provide different experiences.
BellBoys Posted February 23, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted February 23, 2015 We do hope that they expand De Librije to other ships as well.
rkacruiser Posted February 24, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Cuisine is so subjective, so take my comments with that thought. Le Cirque was a much more delicious dinner, more elegantly served, which could only have been improved with a more attentive Wine Steward. The deconstructed cuisine of De Librije was interesting. aliaschief Posted February 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) We have enjoyed Le Cirque many times on different cruises and also Die Librije. New menu offerings on Le Cirque have us booked twice on next cruise. Time for changes on Die Librijie and Chefs Dinner on-board. However if your first timers and your budgets allow you should try.
