Saw the Blue Man Group on Epic several years ago. I was so glad I didn't pay $100 in Vegas to see it. I really liked the Legends on the Epic and Rock of Ages on the Breakaway. The best show ever on a cruise ship was the water show on the Oasis of the Seas.

Just got off the phone with NCL and they informed me that the Blue Man Group was leaving the Epic at the end of March 2015. So disappointed as we are booked at a later date. They said it's Blue Man's Group decision.

Yes, the entertainment on the Epic is changing. There was a press release about it a couple of months ago and some discussion on this board. If you look at the NCL site you will find details of the replacements.

NCL if you are watching and listening, there are about 5 to 6 thousand guests currently booked for your April 5 and April 12 cruises that are waiting patiently for you to tell us what the entertainment will be. We would like to finish making our reservations. I'm over the disappointment of not having Blue Man Group which was a big draw when I booked 18 months ago thinking how great it would be to see their show on a cruise ship. I just want to know what will be in their place. Rumor has it that it will be Burn the Floor. Ok, already saw it on Getaway but I guess I could watch it again. Don't keep us in the dark.

Until they finalize entertainment we can't even make reservations for CIRQUE dinner show........Just leaving everyone in the dark really stinks

I thought Burn the Floor was just ok. The performers were awesome but not the kind of show I'm crazy about. I guess I'm a Broadway type person since I liked Rock of Ages and Hairspray. Perhaps NCL could purchase the license for Jersey Boys or a tribute type show.

They had a Jersey Boys show on the Pearl and I would see that again in a heartbeat. Burn the Floor as you say was just ok.

I saw that water show a few times on the Allure, I still think Chicago is the best show on the seas, overall.

Burn the floor replaces Blue Man starting from the trans-Atlantic April 19th sailing.

Priscilla the musical replaces Legends in concert from October after the dry dock.

Not sure why they left two sailings between end of Blue Man and Burn the floor.

Guess will just be guest artists like they sometimes use on the TA's.

VERY WELL said....frustrating that we aren't allowed to book any entertainment and reservations agents are not being forthcoming when you call as to reason why..." Oh, everything must already be booked"

I honestly would rather them tell me straight out: we don't know what will be offered, sorry but please check your options as soon as boarding. I don't like it but I don't want to be mislead.

I'm certain entertainment options won't make or break our experience and still looking forward to Easter sailing!

My sister is my TA and she called twice now. She was told once that it would be Burn and Floor and then she was told they don't know yet. That is ridiculous. They know that they have a hole in their schedule that they need to fill with something. I'll take a guest artist. I'm not picky. But why can't we even book Cirque? That shouldn't be going away.

I, too, prefer Broadway caliber shows. Burn the Floor are cruise line dancers. The best show I have ever seen, besides BMG, was Legends, also on the Epic. That show has amazing impersonators, and I'm pretty sure I saw Stephan Tyler and not an impersonator, cuz the guy looked and sounded exactly like him!

I will be on the Epic on 5/10. Really had no desire to see Blue Man Group so not disappointed. Can someone tell me what Burn The Floor is?

It is a dancing show much like you would see on Dancing with the Stars. I saw Burn the Floor on the Getaway. One of the dancers was Keoikantse Motsepe. After that he left the Getaway and was on season 19 of Dancing with the Stars as one of the pro's. His partner was Olympic athlete Lolo Jones. Sadly they were the first to be eliminated. The Burn the Floor Show that I saw was mostly Latin dances. Lots of tango, salsa, and rumba. There was a little bit of jive and swing but it was more Latin. However, the Getaway also had a dining room with a large dance floor and on selected nights, the dancers put on a mini show during dinner. Don't know if they plan to do that on the Epic or not.

We saw the Blue Man Group on the Epic in 2012 and would have left early, but our seats were where it was not possible.

Entertainment is subjective, I don't want to insult anyone that liked the BMG, but personally my DW, Son, three of his friends and I were not impressed. I suppose 13 year old boys might like it.

Thanks for the explanation. Might have to be in the casino that night (lol).

Hopefully they bring them to another ship not leaving America. I was hoping they would leave the epic and stay here. Because you never said they were leaving ncl as a whole you said they are just leaving the epic.

As I understand it, there is more then one set of BMG. They have a BMG that is always in Las Vegas and they had a BMG on the Epic and I don't know where else a BMG Group performs, but there has to be more then one Blue Man Group. Same as Second City, there are numerous "troupes" that preform all over the place. It just seems odd that if they knew they were sending the Epic off to Europe, they didn't plan better for the April 5 and April 12 sailings. For those of us who are on the last two sailings before Europe, we just want to finish making our plans and reservations.

We are on Epic in July. So what will be playing then? Priscilla looks to be in the fall...Blue Man Group is leaving...so what happens to us stuck in the Gap?

Burn the floor replaces BMG albeit with 2wk gap

Priscilla replaces legends in concert.

So in July you'd have Burn the floor and legends in concert.
