Quick question, we're staying at the Radisson in Cape Canaveral before our cruise in April, where are some good places to Eat that is close by? We'll have all ages with us , from age 2 to 71....not sure if that helps, lol..Also any places nearby to purchase some wine and water before we cruise? Thank You for any feedback!

I always go to the Italian restaurant called Papa Vito's in Cocoa Beach is near the hotel on A1A. The food and service is very good. The food on Carnival is generally very good except their Italian dishes are not my favorite. So go to Papa Vito's to have a great Italian meal before the cruise. They have some good bar specials also.

The Cocoa Beach Pier has a few nice restaurants and bars.

The supermarket called Publix in Cocoa Beach has a good selection of wines at resonable prices.

Stayed there last May. There is a liquor store that will deliver. I thought it was very reasonable and brought it right away right to our door at the Radisson. I don't remember the name but I got the info from the front desk. Just ask them. Would do it again.

Canaveral Liquors is 0.5 miles away and deliver. And they know how to pack wine for cruises! Next closest is Yogi's then ABC then Publix - these require transport. Racetrac is good for water & beer & snacks.

I agree with The Cove restaurants at the Port. Millikens Reef outside tiki area with play area (they put out toys) is best for keeping an eye on young kids (daytime only) while having adult fun. Grills has the best reputation for food if you ask locals I believe. Fishlips is a great sports bar but outside area is small with high tables and barstools - inconvenient with small kids IMO.

Close by, Pietros Pizza is probably best with kids although I agree Papa Vito's has the best pizza and excellent deals between 3 and 5 - but transport is needed. Kelseys nearby is good for a chain. Preachers is new and popular with an interesting menu although it is more adult oriented.

I don't know that I'd call Kelsey's a chain. Locally owned since the 80's, they DO have 4 locations around town. They don't even share a web site!

walking distance (and on same side of A1A) from Radisson

also should have mentioned Zachary's .. your typical Greek American grill type place which means family friendly and great breakfast! http://zacharysrestaurant.com/

dinner Fri Sat only also right at the Rad'
