Just got back from our first cruise on the Crown to Mexican riviera and we are already planning our second to the western Caribbean on the Caribbean princess. Can anyone recommend hotels that transfer from airports and to the port in Houston?

There are hotels that are near the airports that provide xfers to/from the airport.

No hotels that will do both. Too much distance between airports and the port.

We stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Seabrook Suites a few weeks ago and it was great. The package included hotel room, breakfast, parking for the week and transfers to and from the port. I think it was about $110 for a double. They were located about 5 minutes from the port. There number is 281-291-9090. Have fun!

We flew into Hobby airport and stayed at The Drury(loved it). Complimentary transport to and from the airport.(certain hours) They have a great Kickback meal in the evening(5:30pm to about 7pm) and a nice breakfast. After breakfast we went back to the airport and caught the pre- arranged Princess transfer bus. Took about 40min., from airport to port if I remember correctly.

There are two airports in Houston. Houston Hobby (HOU) is ~20 miles from Bayport and Intercontinental (IAH) is ~40 miles away. Hobby is in a not so nice area of Houston so if you book a hotel there be aware. IAH on the far north side is in a nicer area but things are spread out and the airport is much larger. The port lists transportation opportunities to both. Go here http://www.portofhouston.com/cruise-information and click on FAQ for more information provided by the port authority.

We drive since we are less than 4 hours away. We just returned from a cruise out of Bayport and stayed at the Quality Inn Seabrook. Bayport is out in an open area near the container port about 5 miles or more from any hotels/restaurants except for the Best Western Seabrook (once was a Comfort Inn) which is also out in the middle of nowhere. Look for hotels in the Clear Lake/Webster/Kemah area. There are many along with a large number of restaurants, shopping and a major shopping mall.

We have used the Princess hotel / transfer option two years in a row at the Marriott IAH. We got in the night before each time so we didn't mind being "trapped" at the airport. It's very easy as you get your luggage and take the terminal link train to the hotel. The bellman collects your luggage from the room the morning of the cruise and then you board the bus to the ship. Super easy and it's roughly $175 for two people.

If you fly into Houston Hobby airport, there are a number of good hotels which offer shuttles from the airport. (And I wouldn't be concerned about the area where Houston Hobby Airport is located--it's not River Oaks, but it's perfectly fine.) We stayed at the Springhill Suites and in addition to the shuttle to/from the airport, they provided a free shuttle ride to anyplace within 5 miles of the airport so you can go to restaurants, shopping (for that wine!), etc.

We took Pasadena Taxis from the hotel to Bayport for around $50.
