Do you receive VIFP offers?

I don't mean the ones that appear in the VIFP Members Offers section; I'm referring to the ones that appear in the My Special Offers section.

I've been on 10 Carnival cruises and have yet to have an offer appear in the My Special Offers section, only the VIFP section.

I've inquired about this and was told the reason I don't get the special offers is because I already have cruises booked, but I've seen posts on here where people have cruises booked and get the offers. (Or that's what it seems to be)

What has been your experience? Are the special offers you're receiving Casino offers or are they some other type of offer? Also, do you have a cruise booked when you get your offer?

Thanks for your input!

I also have 9 cruises with Carnival and have never received an offer. My husband only has 4 cruises and has not received on offer. My son has no cruises booked and is Platinum and has never received on offer. It seems the same people get multiple offers and others none.

Your son should at least have the Platinum Vista offer in his account. It went out to all Platinums and is avialable until April 27th.

This is the only offer I have ever received.

Ok, I see I'm not alone. I guess it's odd that your son has never received one.

I have 14 and DW has 15 cruises. The only offer we have ever received is the Platinum Vista offer.

We're in the same boat. My coworker gets offers and only has 2 or 3 cruises with Carnival. My friend took her 1st cruise in August and she's getting offers from Carnival.

Recently finished our 18th. I had 1 special offer. $25 pp for a 2 day Ensenada cruise with $50 OBC. Free cruise but the cost of the flight, night in a hotel and such was more than a one day to Ensenada and back is worth to us. Would have been great if we live near Long Beach.

I have been on six Carnival cruises since 2000, and only thing I get is a two category upgrade, but there is always a reason why I dont take it, probably because I like the porthole rooms, and two category upgrade is still and inside with no window. Also, I sail solo now, and there are hardly ever any of those deals that I can partake of.

Anyway...no special offers for me, and sometimes four years go by without a cruise, sometimes only a year. I am booked for one more in October. Who knows after that, but my plan is to try HAL, Princess, NCL or RCI after that. the only one that I wont consider again is Celebrity.

As long as my health holds out, I probably will sail Carnival again, but I just feel that I need to broaden my cruise experience.

A few weeks ago I noticed I had $25 inside/$50 ocean view offers for departures from Long Beach to Catalina/Ensenada. Booked a few of those. The 6/7 day cruises were available but I didn't want to use vacation time from work. I was also shown same rates for Florida ports.

At first the specials were noticeable, but after a few days I had to hunt them down.

OV cabin per person with taxes/fees, less OBC worked out to be $123.

My last cruise was just taxes/fees as it was comped through casino.

I'm getting spoiled on how little I am paying for these getaways.

I have 15 or so, am Platinum, got the Vista and the Ensenada offer for $25. That is it for that. Got a bunch of casino offers in the past, then none, then a whole bunch of great ones recently, which I took advantage of to book 3 cruises between now and July.

Currently, I have NOTHING, not even the Vista offer. I think the trick is maybe to check very often. They seem to come and go without rhyme or reason.

I'm not platinum so I don't get those, but every time I log in and look it always says no special offers currently available or something like that. Every single time.

I can't imagine the reason is because you are already booked on a cruise? How many of us are booked on more than one or book one while booked on one? That's a dumb reason to not have offers...

I have only received them twice. DH has one going all the time. This one that he has is not all that though. It is for a $50 obc on cruises taken before Dec. 31, 2015. In the past he has received offers for cruise for $100 and receive a $200 obc several times. Unfortunately, we could not use any of those

It is not true. I always have something booked. I get offers anyway. Just few and far between. I guess I shouldn't complain. Looks like others are getting even fewer and farther between.

I've only seen the 2 category upgrade for past guests. I have no problem booking Early Saver and when booking this last time the past guest with 2 category upgrade ended up more than the Early Saver and booking the same cabin.

I currently have the Premier Cruise offers with free room and casino cash, which I always get. They are select sailings you have to choose from.

I also just received another offer over the weekend for a free cabin on any sailing from now until the end of November. I looked and no matter which sailing I choose, from a 2 night up to a 15 night cruise are $0. I can choose a maximum of two cruises. I've never received this offer but I'm not complaining. :)

After years of not having anything other than the 2 cat upgrade...FINALLY this last time a bunch of offers went out I got one..it took a bit for it to sink in as I almost passed out! But we were able to take advantage of one for April 2-6 from Jacksonville on the Fascination...so this as close to B2B as we've gotten lol...we have a 6 day gap between spring break and our second one:) We spend a bit in the casino and this is our 5 and 6 cruise...

But this is a casino offer that you have...those of us that do not gamble do not get those. Dh gets great offers though at times even though we do not gamble.

So, OP, you do not have to gamble to get some great offers.

I really liked book a 7 day cruise for $100 get a $200 obc. Timing was wrong.
