adele319 Posted March 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Hi, has anyone ever requested a table for 4 and find out when you arrive on ship you have been put at a larger table? Thanks!
Clarea Posted March 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) Hi, has anyone ever requested a table for 4 and find out when you arrive on ship you have been put at a larger table? Thanks! Yes. We've also requested a table for 8 and been put at a table for 4. It does not happen often, but sometimes they don't accomodate our dining request properly. spookwife Posted March 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Hi, has anyone ever requested a table for 4 and find out when you arrive on ship you have been put at a larger table? Thanks! it happens all the time. you can try and change it out with the headwaiter/maitre D' but they cannot always accommodate, especially not the first night. to guarantee dining alone, you need to book MTD. which means prepaying gratuities. Alohaaloha Posted March 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Yes. We've also requested a table for 8 and been put at a table for 4. It does not happen often, but sometimes they don't accomodate our dining request properly. That happened to us too. Luckily we all got on very well, but four is far more inter personal than a larger table and could have been very awkward. nelblu Posted March 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Over the last 4 cruises we have asked for a table for 2 and have been accommodated. The first thing we do is walk thru the MDR and look at the table and it's location. If not up to our liking we see the MD.
sg1phileshipper Posted March 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 15, 2015 They can't eat seat people traveling together, with linked reservations, at the same table ;) Cindy Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met Tapatalk
cb at sea Posted March 15, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2015 We always request at least an 8-top...6 is too small...10 is too big!
drmomto3kids Posted March 15, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Is 12 the max size? We're traveling with 13 (incl. a baby) on next cruise. Can they add a highchair at a 12 top accommodating all of us if it's available? Just wondering if there are any known restrictions.
