kruzerci Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I've read about it on here for months and it finally happened to me. In my daily check for prices, I noticed that my upcoming cruise, which I made final payment for about a month ago, showed an outstanding balance of over $1,000. I had to call C&A and after a long hold, they adjusted the reservation to zero it out. The rep said "some of your booking codes seem to have fallen off. It just happens." Royal Caribbean has got to get their act together! I don't know their policy for canceling bookings with balances after final payment date, but I cringe at the thought of my reservation being cancelled because of a glitch that "just happens". This cruise has been booked for well over a year, we have our favorite suite reserved, OBC attached from booking onboard and our old rewards points, etc. The agent was very nice and it's no wrongdoing on her part, but it's terrible that the customer should have to keep watch of these sort of things. It's irritating enough that I had to spend 30 minutes on a workday on the phone to bring their error to their attention, but I it makes me mad to think what could have happened if I hadn't noticed quickly. Keep an eye on your balances!
kc320 Posted March 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Agree, it's happened to me as well....I had "hoped" since they re-designed the webpage they might have fixed that problem as well...silly me!:o
Rare island lady Posted March 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Happened to me also, but was no big deal. It was during another website upgrade/update too. Got it taken care of with one of the overworked CS agents. I feel more sorry for them having to deal with it then me.
Bookish Angel Posted March 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Just last month, I had a future cruise credit applied to my upcoming cruise. Seemed simple enough but in applying the future cruise credit, the system knocked off my $275 OBC for the future cruise. After several calls and emails I got the OBC restored but geez, a hassle it was. Edited March 23, 2015 by Bookish Angel
kruzerci Posted April 5, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted April 5, 2015 Unbelievable... I just went to see if our documents had been issued yet. Once again, it shows a different balance due than the last time this happened [emoji35]. Another 30 minutes down the drain on the phone having it corrected with no explanation given. Majortom556 Posted April 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) This keeps happening to me as well... I have a GS Guarentee booked through the casino department. Departing in 2 weeks. The only way for me to find out what stateroom I've been assigned is to keep looking at that page. It keeps dropping the casino promos on the pricing though, and it takes a 30min phone call to fix every time it happens. phoenix1181 Posted April 5, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2015 I wonder how many times a new user has paid more than they should because they didn't realize there was a "glitch".............
