Yes I used the app. It was wonderful. Download it before you leave home. The chat feature was $5.00 and I also purchased the social media package that was $25.00 for the duration of the cruise.

Oh my goodness! Was off CC for a while, then came back again and found your review. I spent most of my day reading it...well in between work and other stuff...lol. The bar hop looked like a great time!!

 

Hope your dad is doing okay and your nearby town is recovering from the devastation.

 

We have our air fare booked to Tampa in September...but no cruise...yet. We were kind of waiting for some price drops :rolleyes: We were looking at the Paradise. I I like the Fantasy class ships for little trips while I wait for the next longer trip! If we wait too long to book the cruise in Tampa, we may be stuck just vacationing on land there :o

 

After that, it's the Pride again for Halloween! Thanks for the time you spent to do your review. It was a fun read!

Yes the Bar Hop was AWESOME. If you ever want a fun day in Cozumel go on the Bar Hop. I will definitely be doing it again.

 

My dad is doing good. He has adjusted well to the dialysis treatments.....keeping our fingers crossed that will continue. Our neighboring community is doing better but it'll be a long time before people are back on their feet.

 

We enjoy Fantasy Class ships as well. Our next cruise isn't until the Elation in December.

We have already decided that we are going to stay at this hotel again when we go to Miami for the repositioning cruise on the Breeze.

 

We had a nice little bar set-up in the hotel :p

 

 

One more GREAT REVIEW, love all the pics, only on page 10 but I will get there.............

The Breeze hasn't repositioned to Galveston. That doesn't happen until November 2016. I didn't have any issues with fellow passengers....everyone seemed very friendly. I met a lot of new people who will be friends for life

 

The Breeze in not in Galveston yet, but it arrives in May of 16 not November. I think I am scheduled on the first sailing.

Bonsai Sushi on deck 5 AFT. Tis place was always busy at night. I thought it was in an odd location though. I mean you're eating dinner and people are walking by along promenade :rolleyes:

 

There is a Bonsai Sushi on the Sunshine, the location is more private than this one, but the chairs are the same. I love the food there, but those chairs are uncomfortable for me. I order my food to go, and I take it to the Lido deck or somewhere more comfortable to sit. :)

Yeah I remember the location of Bonsai Sushi on the Sunshine. It was in a much better spot. And of course those chairs would be uncomfortable....they are up too high with no where for your feet to go

Well you definitely picked a great ship to experience your first Carnival Cruise. I took my first Carnival cruise in 2005 on the Carnival Valor and I haven't cruised with anyone else.....and I don't think I ever will either.

Myself and my two friends are sailing on the Breeze on 6th Sept with your itinerary and I think this is the best review I have ever read. You have made me even more excited if that's possible! We were a bit wary as we are from Liverpool England and have only really sailed on the Med with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Although in our 50's with a big 0 birthday coming up we have holidayed together for 17 years, leaving husbands and children at home ( although we do let them come occasionally!!). We call it "Girls on Tour" and our motto is that you are a long time dead!! Based on your review we have booked the Bar Hop which looks great fun! Big debate is whether to buy the Cheers programme, we do have fun on holiday, so it may be worth it...any thoughts for us??? Thanks again for a great review, I actually feel like I was with you and that's a gift . I see you are a big sports fan as are we, Liverpool Football Club is our team "you'll never walk alone". Our Football season starts in August, did you notice if they had any Soccer games on the big screens??

Awwww thank you so much for the kind words. You will love the Breeze and the Bar Hop. I know I did. Now as far as the Cheers Package goes I can't help ya out because I don't buy it. You have to drink about 7 drinks a day to break even.

As far as Soccer goes you may find it on one of the TV's. Your best bet would be at the Casino Bar.

Thanks for the awesome review. We were decoding between an 8 day Eastern on the Breeze 1/30 or the 7 day Eastern on the Magic 1/31. We decided on the Breeze, but you look like a blast to cruise with. I almost want to switch back!
