Sun Princess arriving at White Bay early

Due to missing The Bay of Islands the Sun princess is ahead of schedule and will be arriving in Sydney at 5pm today instead of tomorrow morning.

They also have a medical emergency aboard.

I was very surprised that they missed the Bay of Islands....I know the weather forecast was not good , but that was for the lower part of NZ. In Auckland and in the Bay of Island we had a great day.

From the pics on the bridge cam it looked as if they had a fairly mild Tasman crssing as well.

Do they need to do work or maintenance on the ship and hence the early arrival?

Perhaps the medical emergency means get to Sydney asap.

It depends on when the medical emergency happened, as if it happened the first two days out of Auckland, they could have done a airlift of the ship, but if it happened in the middle of nowhere, then it would be foot down to Sydney.

Seen the Sun Princess sail under the bridge to White Bay around 4.30pm. Must admit was very surprised. Can see the ship - not much activity happening.....

Looks perfect weather. Very odd that Sun Princess cancelled that port call.

Saw her sailing out under the bridge at 4.30pm today with lots of passengers so all must be well.
