Whew! Finally finished the whole review.

Jamman Looks like you had an amazing trip! Just wanted to say thank you for writing such a detailed review and for all the food porn!!! We are on that other itinerary because that is what was scheduled for our anniversary which we are celebrating the week we cruise. We definitely want to do the better one next time. :)

don't know how i missed your review before. i just got done reading the review and it was great. i too also love the pride and think she is the best ship in the fleet. i was getting off the pride when you were getting on. i also love the new 2.0 upgrades on the ship.

only 122 more days and i will be on her again.:) a rare 8 day cruise out of baltimore. the itinerary is the same as you were wishing for in your review. Grand Turk 7am-3pm, HMC 9:30am-5:30pm, and nassau 8am-6pm. this cruise we will be kid free. usually cruise with an 9yr old and a 6yr old. so we are really looking forward to this cruise.

I'm glad that they finally wised up and added some 8 day cruises. They should switch to all 8 day, or longer cruises!!

i like the 8 days from the northeast region. gives you more time once you get into the warm weather. i once did an 8 day out of NYC on the miracle but it was the dreaded port canavaral, nassau, and freeport itinerary. we only got off the boat in nassau. but we definitely still had a great cruise. it was another kid free cruise and we did the cheers.

Great review and pictures. I'm 4 hours away from Baltimore, and after my next cruise in the fall. I decided to start cruising from my home port (NY) and Baltimore. I never been on a ship that had the 2.0 upgrades. I can't wait to try the Pride.

Good for Ryan winning all that money. I never had that kind of luck in the casino.

Thanks for reading. I think you will enjoy the Pride. I just love the Spirit Class ships!

I hope it wasn't beginners luck for Ryan. We'll see if his luck continues on the Breeze. :D

Jeff - Thanks for taking the time to do this incredible review! I read it before we sailed the Pride last week and just re-read it to see what I missed! :D We spent enough time in the casino that hubby got one of the "free cruise" offers. With the kids and a balcony upgrade it's not free, but I still like the price. I'm trying to talk him into going again on Aug 9!!!

I noticed so many things I missed this last time that I want to do. One week on the Pride was just not enough! Your pictures helped me realize how much we missed in GT and HMC. I wanna go back!

Your review was AWESOME! We will on the Pride in a few weeks and will be driving since we are from NE PA....Ashort 3 hour drive. We were on the Pride before the upgrade and looking forward to it. Although we are on the "other" itinerary the price was right lol. We plan on Kennedy space center. Beach at Nassua and your idea at Freeport since my 22 and 20 sons will also be cruising.

I have 1 question....we are in a 7a obstructed view. Are those lifeboats directly in front of the balcony or just beneath? Boys are alongside ours and another family across the hall

Can we look forward to a review of the Splendor in a few weeks? I love your reviews. Photos are beautiful and so is your lovely family; I like cruising vicariously with you!

Of course you can! Even though it will be our 3rd Splendor review, each cruise is different, and Patti will always find something new to photograph! :)

If you get a chance while on the Splendor, could you check the lower, exterior decks (3 & 4) and report back if either has deck chairs available? My DBF & I enjoy sitting out close to the water and in the shade. No chairs were in place on the Pride which was very disappointing. We're on the Splendor for the first in October, headed to Bermuda, and are hopeful there will be seating available! TIA & looking forward to another great Jamman review!

I don't think there are deck chairs out there, but we'll check it out.

Thank you! I don't think there are either (darn it) but knowing in advance will eliminate the disappointment that would surely ensue should we find out when we arrive on the ship.

We just booked the Pride again for Aug 9. Making a bucket list of the things I didn't do last week and want to do in Aug! :D Ports will be Port Canaveral, Freeport and Nassau. Doesn't matter to me where we go...I just like to cruise!

How was passenger flow on sea days, is the Spirit class like the Conquest class where the galley takes up the deck,

Passenger flow on Spirit Class ships is the best in the fleet. You can walk from the front of the ship to the back on ANY deck!

My DW said on our Valor cruise that there didn't seem enough to eat or repetitive, is the Spirit class more open or is it like the rest of the fleet where it's more enclosed except for the Lido deck

Enclosed. Open decks are 9 & up.

How does this class stack up against the rest of the fleet? We've only been on Breeze, Conquest and Valor and next year RC

Even after sailing on the Breeze, the Spirit Class, the Pride in particular, will always be my favorite.
