We tipped three others, a great room guy, a waiter who took care of us and the maitre de. All service was good, theirs was exceptional I know "extra" is subjective but in what ball park (should we find exceptional service) would you say would be a nice amount on an 11 day sail? .. are you talking $20, $50, $100? Thank you for any suggestions.

I don’t care if that offends other cruisers or not. I recommend you do what makes you feel good, up to and including tipping nothing as the auto gratuity is already in play. Misty Morning Posted February 26, 2023 #55 Share Posted February 26, 2023 We just got off the Surf and tipped 5 or 6 times $20 to bartenders/waiters as well as room attendant.
Nearpost345 Posted April 21, 2023 #56 Share Posted April 21, 2023 I have a question for those who like to tip extra to the cabin steward, restaurant and bar staff. How do you feel about tipping an asst maitre’d who has virtually adopted you and your needs? Currently on board the legend and don’t want to offend said party by being inappropriate. Misty Morning Posted April 21, 2023 #57 Share Posted April 21, 2023 I would give him something discreetly. I have done it in the past
Nearpost345 Posted April 21, 2023 #58 Share Posted April 21, 2023 Thanks again Misty, my partner suggested we show him our appreciation on the final day, that way any awkwardness will be short lived since we’ll be gone, and he gets to enjoy the token of gratitude. Strenz Posted April 22, 2023 #59 Share Posted April 22, 2023 We have tipped many incredible crew the last day discretely. We feel good about it and I am sure they do, we have been doing that since 1999, still do 27 cruises later. The crew are fabulous. Happy Travels.
