I have been anxiously waiting! Hope Sakari's Birthday was a blast!

Glad to have you here with me.

Sakari had a blast for her birthday. We celebrated for 3 days straight...Friday until Sunday. She opened presents 2 days, had a party and then we all went to the indoor waterpark. Yep, celebrating like a true 7 year old. :p

Thanks for the pics of that club, DW and I never made it there on our cruise.

The only reason we were in there a few times is because they had several kids club activities in there. It was a pretty neat place. :)

We steered clear of it for the most part because they still allowed smoking in part of it and that would have bothered DW's athsma. Your pictures make me regret not at least checking it out.

Yippee! The review is here! :)

Glad to have you with me.

Just a thought... I have sailed on both NCL and Carnival a multiple of times. I do like NCL better. But you gust cannot beat Carnival pricing. NCL has gotten so crazy high I really don't think you really get that much more for your money on NCL. A ship is a ship. You kind of make the cruise yourself, all ships have activities, bars, shops, pools, food, ECT you really are the master of your own vacation.

They both have their "best" and their "worst" (well honestly, I find it hard to find a "worst" in any ship), but I have to believe the total opposite when it comes to pricing (at least the times I have sailed). We ALWAYS take advantage of the kids/family sail free offers NCL does. We have only sailed once out of all the times that we did not take advantage of this offer. It saves so much money, therefore, our cruising has been cheaper with NCL. I always check both lines before booking for the dates we need and NCL always seems to come out on the cheaper side in the long run. I really wish Carnival did some type of kids sail free promo...I would definitely book with them more often.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU on the ship is a ship and they all have about the same (except for the newer and bigger ships with all the bells and whistles) and I can find something to do on any ship and enjoy them all. A vacation is what you make of it. Your journey and experiences are entirely up to you! My vacations always rock because I don't let much bring me down...and I can say that after breaking my hand on a cruise, breaking my toe on a cruise, missing my flight there...among other things. I decided a long time ago that cruising is better no matter what and I'm enjoying life to the fullest! :D

Yay! I have been checking every day for your review to begin. Can't wait to read more

Glad you are here. :)

I am excited to see another review from you!

I am also excited to see the Alchemy Bar on Pride. My husband is a huge Alchemy fan and I made him look at your pics. The ambiance looks so much better than that on the Sunshine and the Glory.

It was a pretty neat place and I loved the decor. Glad to have you here. :)

I'd love to read this but I can't with the pink, too much eye strain.

Great pics!

So sorry about that. This was a big discussion on my last review and some hated it and others loved it. It was suggested to me to make it bright and different...that way when scrolling you could locate the actual review instead of all the comments. Some wanted certain colors, others agreed or disagreed. Some wanted bigger fonts, others didn't. We arrived at a happy medium and that's what I went with and will continue to do. Sorry if it offends anyone or is hard on the eyes. :( Hopefully the pictures won't hurt since a lot of them are pretty bright as well. :p

We love your reviews and look forward to the rest! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures and wealth of information! :)

You are very welcome and thanks for joining me.

Great review, I had been patiently waiting for it! Btw, I think the pink is pretty and since the Susan G Komen race for the cure just happened in my city, I figured maybe you are showing your support Last night I was stressing over the fact that I had to scroll to the far right to read each of your post, then I figured out a way to make it work for me, and I also told my husband that after all it is your review and you should write it and format it however you choose! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments. I definitely support the breast cancer awareness. So many from my graduating class have passed or had breast cancer. They seem to think there was something to do with our school and the asbestos. They actually have a case going. Some way to young. :(

As for the bigger font/screen and so on. If it helps, you can hold down your control key on your keyboard and take your mouse and scroll down. It will make things smaller on the screen and fit better. I guess it doesn't bother me and everything fits on my screen because I have a huge desktop monitor. Ooops. :p

I just logged onto CC a short time ago and found your review. Although I've only just started it, I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to the rest. I've seen your Port of Call reviews and remember your Dream review all are great so I'm sticking with this one. Your pictures are always so beautiful and I enjoy them. Never been to Freeport, so curious about that one and HMC and Grand Turk are two favorites of mine.

I just have to comment on this part...LOL!!! I've noticed the same "smell" on a few of our flights but the last time, our trip to Miami for a cruise, was the worst. I did a review of that cruise and also put it in the review. I'm sure that didn't go over well with too many people but a few commented that they got a good laugh. I'm so glad that you also have the guts to add it to your review...after all, it is getting to be a reality of flying (at least in my experiences).

Thanks for joining and thanks for the comments. I'm glad I have been able to help out people on the boards.

As for Freeport, not one of my favorite ports for sure. This time around we didn't do anything (and I'm kicking myself for it), but it just sucks because Carnival is not in port long there, making it difficult to do anything on your own. :( So basically I have only went to Paradise cove/Deadmans reef in Freeport (last November0.

Oh definitely have the guts to add things. It's my review. Hopefully most people around here know my humor. It's all about the laughing and giggles with me. I'm a happy go lucky person. :D :p There's only more to come...

I have read many of your reviews but am really excited for this one since it is my first time reading it in "real time"! I am thinking of taking a cruise in the summer with 2 of the same ports you did, so looking forward to checking them out from the "mitsugirly" perspective.

I'm really enjoying your review. I've been on her twice and will be back on next month. Your pictures remind me how beautiful the Pride is. The nudes don't bother me although I did think it was strange for a family cruiseline. Twelve year old boys probably enjoy them. ;)

I'm a nurse too so I find all the old medical stuff very interesting.

More food porn please!

BTW you and your husband look way too young to have a married 26 yo and a six yo grandson!

Yes, I really enjoyed looking at all the medical stuff they had on display. I actually have a bunch of it myself that my oldest son found when they were digging across the street from us when they started to build houses. It's some pretty nice things and I loved how the bottles were all different colors.

Actually my oldest is 28 :p ;), he just never cruises with us. My 3 oldest kids are by my first marriage of 18 years. Only Sakari is by my husband now...celebrating our 9th anniversary next month and 13 years together at the end of this year. (He looks young because he is young(er). But me looking young...I'll take that compliment any day :D). I actually have 4 grandchildren and 1 due next month.

I commented on Jamman's review that the pics of the Pride show a beautiful ship. Whoever said she's ugly....I just don't see what they do. The decor looks elegant and upscale. Not ugly at all!!!

I guess I have been reading the wrong reviews both in my research when booking here and reading the reviews. I have yet to see any negative comments about her on either her looks or the cruise. If I had, I would definitely have to disagree. We absolutely loved the way she looks and the hubby and I kept commenting about how beautiful it was and so many little "details" that went into everything. She was amazing! :)

Enjoying your review so far! I'm thinking about booking the Pride in July with this same itinerary-hoping to snag a last minute deal as I can drive up to Baltimore the day of the cruise. I'm looking forward to your review of the kid's club, as I know you were disappointed with it when you sailed the Dream. My son always goes to the kids' clubs and loves them-Adventure Ocean on Royal is awesome and much, much better than Camp Carnival (in my opinion).

Thanks for taking the time to review your cruise. Can I ask a question? Are Brayden and Sakari cousins or aunt/uncle? I stink at family tree type stuff and am just wondering the correct familial relationship they have. :)

Edit: I hope you review your Bermuda sailing, because I am taking the same trip the end of August!

Loving, loving, loving the review.

Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.

And so excited that you and Jamman54 just happen to be sharing reviews on my next cruise! They are so fun to read regardless, and with the excitement of being on it soon - it is almost too much to handle - not!

Happy reviewing! And enjoy Bermuda! Loved it for my sister's wedding - planning on going back there but still a few years from now.

I'm very very sorry but I carried the schedule around with me during the cruise and I can't seem to find what I did with the last half of the schedule for the kids club. I have looked and looked and can't find it among the mounds and mounds of papers I have. :(

Okay, so...

All In! Before the flop as the say in poker. Or maybe after since you're already 6 pages into the thing.:D

Waiting to hear your take on the ports, as you always cover them so well. And also how the Alchemy Bar is holding up. We had it on the Liberty a few years back now and the bar was (wo)manned by the 2 barkeeps (cause dat what de r), who started the concept on Carnival. And it was a real treat for this straight no chaser guy!

CAMP CARNIVAL

Tv screens that you can see in to the club at any time and I never had a problem spotting my munchkin when I was trying to find her and see what she was doing. These were outside the door at the club.

P4070235%20copy-L.jpg

The name tags they had the kids wear each time they entered the club. I'm estimating there were probably about 100 kids in her age group, but guarantee that you couldn't tell on any given night.

P4070236%20copy-L.jpg

YOU SEE THIS PHONE???? IT IS THE DEVIL!!!

P4100150%20copy-L.jpg

It is located directly in front of the door in the hall where you pick up the kids. I can also guarantee that every single time you would pick up your kids, SOMEONE would knock it off the hook each time. It became a running joke during the cruise with all the parents. You were sure to knock it off at least once during the cruise and if you were really good at it, you would do it almost every time you stood in line waiting for pick up like we did. Some of us would stand around and just wait for it and then we'd all laugh. It was pretty hilarious to watch. I even knocked it off 3x in one night and then threw my hands up in the air and surrendered. It remained on the floor after that. It's just in a super bad and congested location!

Thanks for coming in and enjoying the review. I'm happy to have you here. You will get full details on the kids club, trust me. :D

Yes most definitely can ask a question...and I will answer. :p

Sakari is Braydens Aunt and Brayden is her nephew. :) Since Braydens mom is Kendra (which is my oldest daughter) and Sakari's and Kendra are sisters, that makes her (Sakari) his Aunt. But since Kendra calls Sakari "sissy", Brayden also calls her "sissy"...so they confuse everyone and think they are brother and sister. LOL  :p

I agree, I couldn't get enough of the Pride reviews prior to leaving. I was just really hoping someone would do an extensive review on the reposition cruise bringing her back up from Tampa...but that didn't happen that I know of.

I can't wait for Bermuda. I feel so unprepared at this point. I need to get this review done so I can make plans.

CREW!!! So glad you are here! :D I have tons of pictures of the ports and tons of opinions to go with it. hehe :p

Alchemy was really nice and beautiful (hopefully you seen the pictures). I really didn't see many people in there until more toward the end of the cruise. I'm not sure why?

APOLLO FORWARD POOL

P4050031%20copy-L.jpg

We really loved this pool and spent most of our time here. I'm not sure why. Maybe because it had the hot tub? Maybe it was because it wasn't as loud in this area? Maybe it was because it had a smoking area? Maybe because it was more relaxing than the other pool with the activities going, music blaring and so on over there? Maybe it was because there weren't as many people in it too!!!
