Rotterdam back after Dry-dock!

Today, Rotterdam returned in her homeport after her dry-dock in Hamburg. Beautiful spring day in Holland, let’s hope no mooring lines will get in her way on her departure to the first cruise of this season to the Canary Isles, this afternoon:D

The shipyard to forgot the new Tamarind. Oh well, another year, another drydock!

If only they would :D

Next to "De Librije", this is my favourite dining venue, so sad that we only had the opportunity once so far, having sailed only the Eurodam once.

I'm sure that didn't happen to the Rotterdam's sail away.

Since the ship went out on Tuesday for an 18 day cruise, I doubt we will get any details from anyone on this until they return. We could get lucky and have someone on the ship give us some details when they are on the internet, but probably nothing we should hold our breath over.

It's been fun hearing about the "want wishes", but yeah...probably not going to be the case. :-) Besides, I think if they were putting in one of their better known restaurants, it would have been advertised so we would start getting in our reservations. I'm on this ship on May 16 and there is nothing new listed on the list of restaurants we can reserve.

  • 3 weeks later...

I visited the Rotterdam last weekend with my TA. The ship was beautiful! Lots of new carpets, also in the Lanai cabins. New flooring in the retreat, BB Kings club in Crows nest. The exploration lounge has a different lay out and there are more tables for 2 persons on lower level MDR. Tenders have been pimped as well. And more things you do mot see.

I have some photos but unfortunately we did not see the crows nest.

Thanks for the pictures! She looks lovely. It seems as though she will be homeported in Boston for fall of 2016 [replacing Maasdam] so hopefully I will be able to try her out for a Canada run [once the prices go down...they are quite ridiculous right now! ;)]
