Mayflower Terminal - Parking

If you have booked parking with CPS you pull up take your bags out of the car and hand over the keys on longer cruises. You self park for 2 or 3 days cruises. Couldn't be easier or more convenient.

Mayflower is our preferred terminal, it is also the right side of town for us, so much quicker and easier for the motorway.

I think you will find that you need to pre-book whichever car parking company you use as their are thousands of cars parked at Southampton.I am not aware of any "pay & Display" car parks anywhere near the terminal.

Would you want to leave your car in an unmonitored public car park for 1/2/3 weeks at a time?......I wouldnt! But the specilaist cruise car parking company ones eg CPS are fine.

Assuming you are cruising with P&O, the the designated on site parking operator is CPS, the same at all the terminals.

They operate a valet parking system. You drive up to the terminal, your bags are offloaded, you hand over your keys, they give you a receipt and that's it. They take your car away and park it. On return, you pick up your car keys at the hut at the entrance to the car park across the road from the terminal and they tell you where your car is.

You need to book in advance.

Other off site parking operators are available.

There are other parking companies but not many that meet you at the terminal and you unload your suitcase and they drive your car away and park it and then return it at end of cruise. CPS is by far the dearest but if you want a company that does virtually the same service but cheaper try Parking4cruises they are equally as good as CPS.

Hi, we haven't previously sailed from Mayflower and we are concerned about parking. Do we drive in, drop bags, then go and park? Can you pre-book parking? If not, is it a 'pay and display'?

TIA, NM.

Consider "Parking4cruises" (excellent option and service) our always use.

Drive into port - offload cases at the actual terminal drop

Drive a very short distance to vehicle reception - short walk back to terminal.

On return telephone 30 minutes prior to disembarkation.

Trolly/porter luggage to vehicle parking (very short walk). Load and go.

Or short walk to vehicle parking, collect and drive to terminal, load and go.

Thanks all; now booked with CPS for £57. Incidentally, Parking4cruises was £71, so it was worth me getting them both to quote.

Wow!

That must be a first! Well done you!

Checked our next three booked from Southamoton and P4C were cheaper
