jonsmum Posted May 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2015 Do they have kettles in the cabins on the Solstice? Sent from my iPad using Forums Sorry no. I believe they are only provided on cruises leaving from the UK. We certainly missed our morning cuppa on Solstice!!
Algebralovr Posted May 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2015 Only Eclipse has kettles in the rooms, and only when sailing from Southampton. Please also be aware that the tea choices are not necessarily the best. The teas in the Café Al Bacio are good, but have an extra cost unless you have a beverage package. RCMarr Posted May 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 25, 2015 I always bring my French Press and my favorite coffee with me to make coffee in the room. You can take the elevator to the deck where the buffet is and get almost boiling water from the coffee makers. I have also asked for a pot of hot water with breakfast and made my coffee with it. My wife always brings her favorite tea bags and makes it each morning in the room. Last cruise, I had several people ask me where I found the French Press or offered to buy it from me. The coffee was awful on the cruise. It is so nice to make a pot of coffee and sit on the balcony sipping as the world goes by.:p

upwarduk Posted May 26, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2015 All ships sailing from England will provide them on request They should already be in the cabins, there should be no need to request! However, I will confirm when I board Eclipse in 2 months time.

Rare cruisestitch Posted May 26, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Aren't you asking about Solstice/Australia? There will not be kettles in the rooms there.

Canugess Posted May 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted May 28, 2015 Sorry no. I believe they are only provided on cruises leaving from the UK. We certainly missed our morning cuppa on Solstice!! On my last cruise I found there wasn't enough milk provided. We just ordered a cup of tea from room service for the time we needed to get up. Worked really well!
