Tweedy Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 My Mom's first elite status cruise will be a one-nighter only days before we leave for Hawaii in September. I have read that elite captain circle members receive priority tendering and we will be tendering in Maui. As I won't be elite status until after our final cruise of 2015 in November, will I also be eligible for the priority tendering ticket since I am traveling with her in the same cabin? Hopefully my question makes sense.
paul929207 Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2015 From what I have seen a passenger in the same cabin as an Elite passenger can take the priority tendering, if tendering with the Elite passenger. In other words if you and your mother are getting off together, you can join her in the Elite line. However, if she is not getting off or is going at a different time from you, you would not get the priority
skf Posted May 26, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Yes, we did this with my brother. He was Platinum, we were Elite, & came with us on tenders. This also worked when he was still Gold for access to the Platinum debarkation lounge. In fact, our favourite Future Cruise Sales Consultant, Terri Bettany personally escorted him in with us. Colo Cruiser Posted May 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Thank you both for your answers. :) Sometimes they will leave the Elite tender tickets in the cabin.
Pam in CA Posted May 26, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I haven't had tender tickets for years. As Elite, unless there's a notice in the Patter, you can just go down to the tender area and get onto the back of the line. The perk doesn't include jumping the line. Not that you'd do it but some Elite do.
paul929207 Posted May 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 27, 2015 I haven't seen Elite tickets in years either. I do remember the ever popular "Trivia Tippers" who felt they got to jump the line. If you were between them and the front of the line, you were likely to feel some pain.
OCruisers Posted May 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2015 It's been a very long time since all we've had to do is show our Black Card and join the tender line. :) LuLu
Astro Flyer Posted May 27, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) When there are many elite level passengers, I've had to go to a separate section of the dining room where elite passengers were given tender tickets & had to wait to be escorted to a tender...no joining the line was allowed however thankfully that doesn't happened often. :) Edited May 27, 2015 by Astro Flyer

Not that you'd do it but some Elite do. It's sometimes difficult not to cut in line especially when you arrive on deck 4 & the line is never ending back up the stairs. They should have all the Elites report to the meeting place & then have them follow the last group leaving so there's no conflicts.
