Clarea Posted June 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2015 Like celebrity does it or is there just one VIP line and one normal one? Depends on the terminal. Usually there are a few different lines, with some levels grouped with each other.
cb at sea Posted June 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2015 Sometimes, a regular line is shorter than the suite line or the Diamond line....just depends! The same port folks check everyone in...so there's no difference in procedure.

monkeyinhat Posted June 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2015 What I have seen lately is. Regular line, a line for Gold, line for emerald thru diamond together. (which seems to be the longest line.) separate line for suites, other higher tiers
Markmom18 Posted June 5, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2015 Monkeyinthehat, Are JS considered a Suite for these boarding lines? We are also Diamond. Whichever line us shorter, that's the one we'd like to be in .....:)

jticarruthers Posted June 5, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) We have cruised with several different friends/groups all of whom seem to be either new or gold members, as we have worked our way steadily up (Diamond this fall, yay!), one thing has been consistently true ... the no status line is always faster than whichever status line we have ended up in :) Back to the question though .... it does seem to vary by port/ship, sometimes there is a line for every status level but usually they are grouped in some way. A couple of times we have seen only Diamond and up recognized as "priority" (looking at my hometown port of Tampa on that one).
