Mendenhall shuttle and snack bar

We dock in Juneau at 7 a.m. in late June. I'm having trouble finding out how early the Blue Line/White Line buses start running. Anybody know or have a schedule link?

 

Also, I read in one place that the Mendenhall Visitor Center has a snack bar? What is the extent of this? Vending machines or something more substantial to sustain us for a hike?

No the Mendenhall glacier visitor center does NOT have a snack bar.

 

MGT buses start at 9am. Similar with Frontier.

And there is no snack bar because you should not be eating on a hike where there are bear and other animals nearby. Perhaps you could at the very least, eat a large breakfast or eat something on the bus. Do not eat at the Glacier.

So I guess no one takes food with them in bear country while hiking. Must be a lot of hungry hikers after and all day excursion into the wilderness.

 

To OP buy some energy bars in one of the stores and carry them with you. Please bring back all wrappers with you. Have a great trip
