I posted a question here regarding the DVD players to see if anyone knew if they were multi regional, did not get a defining answer so contacted ship services by email and this is the reply I got which I will also post on my original post

 

 

<<<<<<<Most of our DVD players in our guest staterooms are Multi-Region enabled, except for a small number which were locally purchased in Europe and are limited in the DVD formats they will play. If you are in a room with a DVD player that doesn’t play PAL, we would be more than happy to replace that with one that is Multi-Region enabled. As someone who usually cruises with other lines, I booked my cruise on Zuiderdam departing at the end of June with a slight feeling of trepidation.

 

However, there have been so many positive posts and threads about HAL and its great service on here that I am now really looking forward to my latest Mediterranean adventure.
