Looks like NCL will be getting my bankroll in the future.

I have $3000 promo ticket, basically I might as well throw it overboard and watch the fishes gobble it all up!!

I don't actually have a $3k promo ticket, and if this is the way forward, I never will.

Linda, are there 300 CR VIP members on Anthem currently?

Some little bird told me casino was overrun with high rollers:D

Last November on Anthem we had over 300 VIPs it was crazy ...a lot of high rollers...

And that's why the new program is going to be as good, if not better than land based casino's.

Sounds like the ole, it's working well, let's break a perfectly good working system, and screw it all up by inventing a new one.

Oh well, it was good for the 15 years being a valued CR VIP member..

I am sure the bean counters are not worried about losing many high rollers.

I was told to call (by the booking office) a week after I return to see "IF" there is a rebate to add to my July cruise. Cruise was last week. Will be interesting to see what they say later this week. Will let all know the outcome.

I just returned from a 3 night on the navigator. I played 17.5 hours of roulette with an average bet of 153 per hand. My earned rebate was 1775. Now my last four cruises were comped and I have still received my entire rebate. Now for my upcoming cruise they no longer want to comp the room. They now want to use my rebate to pay for room and any left over as casino credit. So they have not even rolled out the new program and I am already seeing my offers drastically cut. I am waiting for a call from a supervisor so she can Tell me how paying for my room instead of getting it free is so much better for me. Lol

My associates are all running to NCL and I suppose if this is any indication of the new program I too will jump ship. By the way. Most of us know. There is no way in one weeks time they will rollout the new program. They will most likely make some lame announcement like (you spoke and we listened. We are now extending rebate earning through December of 2016). Lol. Anyone wanna bet that this announcement is coming?

At any rate if the supervisor actually calls me back I will report my findings. By the way most of the people at club royals have been amazing but with no consistency in the program there is no reason to stay. I much prefer casinos on the water over land. Especially the horrible m life ones. However. Now the question is which ship should get my business

By the way. On another note. I always tip the host. Always. The are the equivalent of a casino concierge. Why wouldn't you?

YIKES!!! That IS a drastic cut. What would be the incentive to continue spending in the casino? Makes absolutely no sense. May as well just pay for the cruise and not give the $5000 or so cruise cost to the casino games.

ITA! Time to start looking into other cruise lines.

I planned on and did tip the host, but the sob story and hinting/almost begging was a bit much. AND he seemed to be insulted by a $300 tip. I stood my ground and did not offer more.

I'm far from an experienced gambler in terms of having a casino host, but that seems extremely generous to me.

I must be a low roller because I didn't get any comp for the golf tournament. I know there's a lot of speculation on here but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions until the program is official. No one really knows what exactly it consists of.

My last cruise I also played roulette for about 17 hours on a three night cruise and $50 average bet. So will be interesting to see how my rebate compares to the truth can hurt.. It's been over a week since I got back and still no word. I DID however get a comp cruise for OV cabin which I promptly used for 5/27/16 Majesty

I still don't see how a casino host provides ME any service worth a tip, but everyone has a different view point. The host doesn't bring me drinks or arrange anything for me. Vivian on EN only messes up my rebates lol.. (Hmm maybe if I tip her she will not screw up lol).

I did receive two free specialty dinners and two bottles of wine. So, I basically paid for my dinners and wine, had to give back my rebate to the machines and received no points. What's wrong with this picture?

Curious if anyone has noticed most of the video poker machines are slowly being replaced with NON video poker games?

Since seeing this, I started wondering what I've received from the casino hosts. On my past three or four cruises, I can't remember receiving any comps at all other than the free drink vouchers.

Not certain if this makes a difference...

Not a lot of members on board...maybe 20 names on the list

The host did mention if I reach the next level in points I would receive a second dinner. Never been told that before.

Oh, and they did NOT have a cocktail reception after the muster drill. I thought this was usually a thing they did on all of the ships???? Just had a card in the cabin stating to come down to the casino once open to give my name at the casino desk.

Is that new?

I had been comped a free balcony cabin last October and I received my previously earned cash rebate on that cruise and earned a cash rebate toward my next cruise.

They cannot combine casino event cruise + our cash rebate

or

Thay cannot combine our free cruise voucher + our cash rebate

and blah blah blah

I even have problem with my 5K rebate be they said I need to spend all of these money towar to cabin - like junor suite on Anthem for exp and then I ask for supervison and then his supervison and so on and they "kindly" agreed to split it between pay for cabin and cash

I hope that this new program will resolve some of these issues. It's getting ridiculous the restrictions they're putting in place against some of their best customers.

100% agree

by the way a lot of people talking about different cruise lines....want to tell about Carnival ....There service just great ...you just need to ask For exp if I want to go I just call then I ask if they can comp me particular cruise - thats it :)

and they also have casino event cruises as RC but they names "Priemer" or "Ultra" or "Elite" depends of player level ...There are giving free cabin + cash + a lot of different perks while you are on board plus proprity embarcadation ...they always trying to make you "special"

also executive casino hosts from office travel with you on these cruise and letting them know on personal level.

Never been on Norvegian ...cannot tell anything

Never been on Norvegian ...cannot tell anything

I've been on NCL once so far, based on a promotional free cruise certificate from a land-based casino. It was a positive experience. Their tiered system clearly explains what you're entitled to get onboard based on your level of play.

In addition, although I've only ever had one comped cruise from Club Royale, and I can't seem to get any promotional emails from Royal Caribbean at all, I've received dozens of free cruise offers from NCL since that one cruise.

With comparable levels of play between the two (back-to-back cruises, one on NCL, one on RCI):

  • RCI gave me a ~$700 cash rebate toward my next cruise and that was it
  • NCL would have comped me a specialty restaurant plus wine, but since we had a package, they instead comped us four bottles of wine
plus wiped off several of the charges from my onboard account
and had also offered two comped cruises (concurrently booked) in balcony cabins

If it weren't for the Royal Caribbean cruise experience that I enjoy so much, I could easily see myself becoming quite loyal to NCL's Casinos at Sea.
