I got the email saying 30% off and $250 casino credit...

On the. SR now. Max is the host. Very nice. I didn't ask him about new program yet but he did give my wife a card for free drinks so that was nice. My Seapass card has 2 stickers- 1 for CR and the other says Casino VIP. That's for free drinks unlimited without having to use punch cards which may or may not be replenished after the 4-5 drinks are used up. Some players are getting those. I'm sure that's a ship specific thing

Got same email 30% off and a different $$$ casino credit:D

You are correct on tickets

Sticker on card for CR VIP ("the usual suspects")

Tickets for MLife and lower rated players

If your stickered :)

If your not stickered :p

Happy Days

Lots of free cruises won in the casino on this sailing

Great fun had;)

I have even less to report from Freedom of the Seas at the end of this cruise. Adela apparently got sick and was absent from the casino for the last couple of days. That almost messed up my comped dinner at Chops on Thursday as they had no information about it.

I stopped by the casino last night to try and check in with the host, as I usually do, but spoke with someone else who seemed puzzled why I'd be asking about what I could expect to see as a result of my play.

I did find a free cruise certificate on my cabin door this morning. It's good for select sailings in a balcony cabin or $1000 toward another cruise that sails by September 1. Unfortunately, my vacation plans continue to stymie my ability to use these certificates.

I'll also call Club Royale next week to see what they may be able to tell me about what I might see in the future as a result of this sailing.

Am on anthem. Got a really convoluted explanation about the new program having 7 or 8 tiers for people based on your play from Shirley the casino host but she didn't know when it would start. I don't understand why it's so hard to roll out a program that's been announced for over a year.

Anyone that received the "Get a $ Casino bonus & 30% off a cruise" email get a percentage higher than 30% off?

From another thread I see that the amount of the $ bonus changes, I assume based on your level of play, but I'm wondering if the percentage off changes also. My offer code was 16RCL11 which is slightly different from the code the other person had.

I dont get the emails.

But I did receive two different offers in the mail

1. free balcony room on the anthem for two different sailings

2. free balcony room on the liberty or freedom for two different sailings

these were both tournament cruises

So, I thought I would share Club Royale's response to my questions about the "new" program:

Dear Mr. ,

The rebate program has now been officially phased out and guests are no longer able to earn them. For the interim between now and when our new player program is unveiled, we have recently introduced exclusive promotions and further expanded on where you can earn other rewards instead, such as the possibility of future cruise comps and deep cruise fare discounts - just as you have come to know and love through the years. These offers will be based upon your onboard play, similar to the current program. Shipboard casino points may still be earned and redeemed for prizes, such as gifts from the cashier’s cage, etc.

We continue to review the details of our new player program to ensure we are rewarding our valued casino guest appropriately and to ensure that our offers continue to be beneficial to them. While we do not yet have the specifics of the upcoming and highly anticipated new program, we expect to be able to share those details with you soon.

If you have any questions or if we can assist you with a reservation, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-561-2234. We are available 8:00am to 10:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday; and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern Time on weekends. You can also reach us by email at ClubRoyale@rccl.com.

Thank you for choosing Club Royale!

Perfectly stated..."convoluted explanation". I felt the same.

Thanks all for the updates! Sounds like there may be onboard comps replacing the rebate/OBC.? DH will be a happy camper. :)

Is rebate Considered the same thing as the OBC loaded onto your players card. This is where i get confused  I was told both will be gone with the new program, but I noticed above it just states rebate.

Thanks!

Max on serenade told me there are 8 tiers of certificates. The 3 levels of comps (balcony, OV, IN) and then Certs with $$500 off a cruise, $400, $300, etc.

He also said instead of rebates they are giving OBC which he admittes was basically the same as rebates except not cash. Similar to a resort credit.

Re: the 30% off in the emails- all that is is the current 30% off RCI promo they are running, and casino rates are at the usual casino rates off of that. It's just marketing

I just had a very interesting conversation with Club Royale.

In asking what kinds of benefits one might expect to receive in this post-rebate world, I was told that for cruises that sailed over the March 15 date, we'd still be able to apply a payment based on our play toward a future booking, with any amount over the balance due applied as onboard credit (that could then be taken out as cash in the casino if one wanted).

She's checking with the ship I just sailed on to find out about my play and I should hear from them within a day or two about the amount applied to my future booking.

Other than this particular exception, the primary benefit would be the cruise certificates as described by Nick above. While they're nice to receive, I just can't cruise frequently enough to make use of them.

So if you maintain the same level of play, would one expect to receive OBC for a future cruise similar to the rebate that you received on the old rebate program? I am looking forward to the Majesty sailing at the end of April and Allure in May. It will be interesting to see how the program is different.

No one knows what to expect from the new program. They're being exceptionally tight-lipped about it.

Even for my cruise that seems to be getting special treatment because it bridges the transition date, I don't know whether the cruise payment would be comparable to the kind of rebate I would have previously expected for the level of play I had.

Both mine and my husband's offers were the same except his $bonus amount was higher than mine. I think they were all for 30% + some bonus dollar value.

Marc, be sure to see if they will apply the certificate value as OBC on a future cruise. They did that for us on a certificate Dan won on the Allure in Feb. We already had the Empress booked and since the choice of remaining cruises in their "selection" were so few, they actually gave us ALL $1k as OBC for our April 11 Empress sailing. ...and as we all know, Empress-Gate hit and the April cruises were cancelled, BUT they transferred it ALL to our resked in May. I know they don't like to do that but they will, if you get the right person on the line.

Unfortunately, I've got an expiration date issue. The certificate expires on September 1, and I don't sail again until October 9.

We got this on our Allure sailing as well as the certificate, Marc. The $ value was way below what we are used to getting but we still received some $ rebate from our Allure sailing in Feb. That rebate was applied to the Navigator sailing balance due that had booked for Christmas and New Year.

Honestly, I don't care whether they give me cash in the casino, OBC or money off another cruise. I'm happy with any of them !

I had the same issue with a certificate I received in February. We already had a cruise booked in May and the cert had to be used by May 31. I already used a rebate on the May cruise so I was unable to double dip. So we just booked a cruise at the end of April to use the free one. "Free" is a relative description since you still have to pay the taxes etc and flight costs.

"True dat!", as they say.

Once they handle my non-rebate from last week's cruise, I'll see whether I can do anything with the certificate.

Actually, no one was more surprised than us when they actually agreed to apply the $1k OBC to the Empress sailing. The certificate very clearly stated that it could NOT be used for anything other than a new sailing from the [very short] list of cruises that they listed....but the Casino Host just whispered to Dan that he should call and try anyway...which we did...and to our great surprise, they agreed to make this "one time exception" and allow us to use the value as OBC on a cruise, already booked. I was SURE that they would not give us the full value of the certificate, but would offer to apply some smaller amount (maybe $200, for example) but again, I was pleasantly surprised when they gave us the full value of the certificate as OBC.

So...who knows !

Many thanks for the update!

Can't say I blame Adela for the worries...can't be easy, and must be just as frustrating for her and her team. Sounds like she is a fab host!

Happy, lucky sailing!

Jeane

We were on a Allure last week with you

Did you meet up at the Sand Bar or the M&M

Did you get any information from Bogdan, Alina or Kaia on new program by any

You were on our roll call for March 13th Allure sailing, we were on Allure that week.

Recognized your screen name from the lists that Gerry had put together

Just wondered if you spoke to anyone in the casino that week about the New Program

Happy Days!

I just went and took a look and I do see my name on the the roll call AND my actual real first name. I did not sign up for the roll call, meet and greet and never even sailed on the Allure ship. It's a bit concerning.
