Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

So lesson learned is go ahead and book it, assuming you are not within final payment window, and then make the confirmation calls. If the price lowers, your good since you will be able to get the lower rate, but if they screw up on the price, then you already have the active reservation and confirmation.

Yes, that was my lesson learned. I just wish there was more consistency.

You can always put on hold for 24 hours w/out any cancellation penalties with paid deposit and then talk with family....I always do it when I heard something from CR that I really like

Related to this thread, I have been receiving a few offers from Club Royale lately.

My latest one was a card in the mail offering a free stateroom (ranging from a Junior Suite on a few, select 3/4-night cruises, to an Interior stateroom on a single Allure of the Seas or a single Anthem of the Seas sailing, with a few other options in between those two extremes). There are only 17 particular sailings listed for the free stateroom.

Fortunately, they also say:

CAN'T MAKE IT?

WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED.

If these dates don't work for you, just trade in your offer for the amount of $1,750 and apply it to any future sailing date before 10/1/2016. It's that easy.

It does also include the fine print that says "Offer applies only to NEW individual bookings" and "Offer must be booked by 6/3/2016 and the booked cruise must sail by no later than 10/1/2016."

I appreciate the gesture, but it's very rare that I can plan something that soon in the future. As I noted above, I tend to book when the itineraries are first released or soon thereafter to get the best rates possible.

I find this all so interesting as I have received 4 mailings in the last few weeks including the one you just described. That one really bothered me b/c I will be sailing in early June but b/c it is not a NEW booking, I cannot apply it. I am like you and cannot usually book/sail a cruise in a limited time period. I cannot apply the offer to the next cruise I have reserved b/c once again it is not New and is after the 10/1 date. Bottom line, apparently none of these offers are of use to me. I haVe been assured by three reps at CR that the cruise rates they are going to be offering are better than they were. However, in the next sentence they tell me they still don't know what the new program is YET. HUH?

With my next cruise around the corner from today, I plan on spending less time in the casino and more time enjoying my group and the Anthem. I don't think that's what they are intending to do.

Oh well, it was a great program while it lasted and I still love cruising. I get better play and offers from land based casinos that I can spend in a casino.

Happy cruising everyone and GOOD LUCK!

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a question, a few months ago I booked a TA cruise on the Navigator on a casino rate that I recieved via email (450$ off) I had decent play in the casino on my Allure cruise in January but was just a few points shy of getting invited to club royal according to the host. When I booked the cruise, I asked if I was in ClubRoyal and was told no. When I went on the TA cruise I talked to the casino host on day 10 or so and she just started laughing at me and told me that I was club royal and gave me my sticker for drinks and told me how foolish I was not to come on day one. She told me I was clubroyal but at no point did I ever sign paperwork in the past. To this day I still get tons of emails for cruise rates and exclusive casinoroyal cruises/event. I even got a cruise voucher for 750$. So am I in or no? Should I just call ClubRoyal and ask?

I think it's more like everyone who plays in the casino can be a member now. With the discontinuation of the old program, it seems that the points requirement to be invited to the program is gone as well.

You should definitely give Club Royale a call and find out what offers may be available to you.

That's what I don't like about their program. It is so vague.

If you got the sticker you are in. there is no special card for it. I'm sure by calling they could confirm and if you are getting the vouchers you are in. They could really ramp up their marketing and if anyone is reading this please hire someone to re-vamp and make the club royale transparent!!

It's a shame they can't come up with a program...On my last cruise, I saw various "offers" being redeemed on Day 1 and it caused a long line at the casino host. I used to be able to walk right up and get the host to give me my sticker, etc. now there's a long line of people who had printed out emails for "$50 casino free play" and other small time offers... It ruins the experience (service) for the "regular" players.. None of these people got stickers on there cards...of course I did. Just the VIP sticker and that was for free drinks and the no service charge. I think I had one drink in the casino during the entire 3 night cruise..

The Majesty casino looks like it got new carpet and possibly more slots- the touch screen digital types? The were 3 roulette tables as was before but something I've never seen before- the middle table had a weird steel wheel and I think there were some kind of spikes sticking up because whenever the ball slowed down it just DROPPED into a number instead of the usual skipping around...it works great if it drops into one of your numbers, but terrible if it is approaching your neighborhood but drops instead.

You mentioned the VIP sticker and no charge for cash advance so prior Casino royale members will still get these benefits?

Yes.

By the way, I also noticed the "casino rates" do not seem to be as great as in the past, but maybe that's just me. Anyone else observe this too?

Anyone heard news or spoke with CR on the new program lately?

Still no changes and as it stands now, the program is so random...

My friend is just getting off the Allure this morning. He placed a total of 3 bets on a roulette table ( one small $5-10 bet on red or black, 3 different days)...to his surprise he got a $200 off certificate on his door!! Talk about random!!

I'm thinking if I don't show up at all on my next cruise, they'll probably give me a free cruise lol

They very person to person based on play and such. Called for DW to get a room and her price was a few hundred more than my price. I now have to go on a cruise with her. She also is a member of the club and has been for years.

They say the rates are SUPPOSED to be the same for each CR member..did you get the quote for each of you on the same phone call? Of not it's possible the rates simply went up after you got the rate for you...

Thanks, Nick

My sailing on the Adventure is still 5 months away. It sure would be nice to have some definitive information.

You should know me from all the casino threads:)

It was me, just messing with the masses, there is no official New Program information to be publicly shared st this moment in time.

When it is CR info it will be factual, no worries there;)

Happy Days!

Didn't want to mention you by name...but turns out good for me - I am glad you posted in the new thread of the insane one that got shut down. I called Club Royale and one of my upcoming cruises has a lower fare than last time I checked. So I did get a lower price. Thanks, Graham.

Good news on the price reduction.

We have had quite a bit of success of late with casino rates.

Keep checking in with CR now and then and see what rates they can offer, not always the case, but whenever a new generic RC Bogo or 1-2-3 sail etc are released you may find CR rates may be in your favor:)

Happy Days!

Hi Alla - we are on Anthem Aug. 20 (5 days to Bermuda - first time to Bermuda for us - which is shorter than I am used to...) Haven't been able to take advantage of all CR offers because of family events.

The sailing we are on after that is long - 24 nights Seattle to Sydney on Explorer in October. And then in December Navigator (ABC islands). We seem to be set for the rest of this year.

I think people confuse casino rates with credits received. I've been told repeatedly that the casino rate is determined by revenue and not discretional. Everyone receives the same casino rate. I think the credit varies and is royales discretion.
