Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

I think people confuse casino rates with credits received. I've been told repeatedly that the casino rate is determined by revenue and not discretional. Everyone receives the same casino rate. I think the credit varies and is royales discretion.

Agree credit varies

As for casino rate not so sure, have you ever received 60% off of a suite?:)

If yes, then we get the same casino rate.

I do agree casino rate is governed by the revenue department.

How come i placed a reservation through club royale originally during tax and fees free and everytime i call with a price drop if i get one of the women- they give me the price drop and do not try to add the taxes and fees back in but if i get one of the guys on the phone they tell me that i will actually be paying a bit more because THEY HAVE TO add the taxes and fees back in since i am changing the booking??????

I've called back for that same issues. haven't noticed it by male or female but just a different answer every time. The Club Royale booking phone number. ARGH

Just off Majesty of the Seas today. I'm surprised I didn't get a cruise certificate on my door this morning. I played more than May 27 Majesty cruise with a higher average bet and no certificate. I even confirmed last night with the host my avg bet was $70-$100 during each session. I played 8 hours...Today CR said to call back Thursday and they will see what information gets sent from the ship..Has anyone earned a certificate but not gotten one on the ship but later instead by calling CR?

CR said no changes yet....they are implementing the new program in phases.

I saw someone using $5 match play certificates on the roulette table last night. I haven't seen these before. Not sure if they were given out on board or email

I received an offer fora choice of two short cruises which I cannot take advantage of but it states that I can receive $500 off of another cruise if the cruise was taken by March 19th and reserved by a date in September. I have been a casino royale member for about five years and have received the "free cruise certificates on board" in the past and discounted casino ratesso when I call for the casino rate for a winter cruise I was interested in all I received was $500 off.

Are the regular casino rates not combinable with the offer I received?

Yes. The $500 off is discounted off the casino rates

Yes. The $500 off is discounted off the casino rates

The offer Casino Royale gave me was the regular cruise rate minus $500 for my offer. I know everyone is confused with what is happening with offers, but I thought I would receive the discounted casino rate and then my offer would be deducted.

Ok. Now I understand...SOME offers by email have $ off regular RCI rates as opposed to an actual "Casino Certificate" for $ off. I got one of these emailed to me one time for $300 off reg rates...When u book something they will

Compare that to the casino rate and give you the better deal...Most likely the "offer" they have you would be better for a shorter cruise...but you'll have to compare

From the OP:

I don't receive promotional emails from Royal Caribbean for some reason,

I know that this was a problem for many of us, but I've been receiving a lot of email from Royal Caribbean in the past month or two, including both general promotional emails and also Club Royale promotions (all intended for me).

It's amazing. Whatever was blocking the emails has apparently been lifted and things are working again.

The downside to all of this? I'm getting interesting and desirable offers from Club Royale, and I don't have the vacation time to take any of it!

Just now, I received a "Pick Your Own Payout" promotion which offers my choice of an "Exclusive Tiffany & Co. Gift (Premium travel accessories)" or "Two tickets to New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins" (post-cruise) including "Seminole Hard Rock Hotel one night stay and stadium transfers". This is on top of "$750 off your stateroom".

I wish I could go!

Even though the casino forgot to put a certificate on my door, CR reached out to the ship and told me I DID get a $500 off certificate. That's better than nothing. CR also mentioned I have an unused $500 cert I could use. But this is a "bank error in your favor..." Cause i already applied that one....I'm gonna play dumb and request it to be applied to a new booking. So now I have to find 2 new cruises to booked. Problem is I have 10 booked already....

I guess cause either I book so many cruises or their system is erroneous, it's working out in my favor

any updates????

Hi Alla -

Here's from my yesterday conversation on the telephone.

Me - with this new program what am I getting?

Club Royale - In the casino - certificates for future cruises (which can be used for cruise or a cash value on another cruise.)

Me - I was getting those before the new program. And based on things I am reading seems lots of people in the casino are getting them.

Club Royale - more Club Royale Casino sailings.

Me - Yes. sigh. But can't take advantage of those when I have other sailings. And the extras/value can't be applied to sailings I already have?

Club Royale - Correct.

---------

If we lived in driving distance to Bayonne - LINDA! or Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, (and if we didn't already have other cruises scheduled thru the end of the year) it would be great to be able to take advantage of the offers I have received. But we also need to factor in airfare.

Based on what I have been reading on this site, not everyone gets all offers - different stateroom offers and different add ons...

And the certificates given in the casino are for different types of staterooms (and cash trade-in booking value.)

I have been able to apply our certificates to our planned trips. And I was able to use the "cash rebate at the cage / apply to future sailing" as apply to future sailing before the program changed.

IMHO - The problem with the certificates - there were some great cruises we would have loved to do, but one was a Med cruise for this summer and a few were out of Puerto Rico. Again - last minute airfares can make those not cruises we can do. So we used the "cash value" as listed on the certificate and applied to something else we already had booked. The best thing to do with the certificate if there are dates that just don't work - call Club Royale and see if the certificate you are holding can be extended to cruise they may have added to "their calendar new quarter".

When I book a future cruise as a "next cruise" on board a sailing, I call Royal when I am back home to see what they can offer me as a "lower price" (and that's before adding in a certificate.)

I still don't know what the tier and level program is - I think those details still have not been share with the people who answer the phones at Club Royal.

I have found on a few sailings my table play was not reported correctly. Even though I would ask at the end of each of my table session. Twice I had to call Club Royale and there were adjustments made (two different ships) but not what I would have been expecting.

I also play slots and that play seems to get recorded correctly.

Hope things are good for you and we'll meet up again on a future cruise -

This last weekend I played a decent amount of time (3 night cruise), and the host had my average bet up there around $100 on roulette. I lost about $1,000. However, all i got was a $500 off certificate...I'm kinda bummed about that. I was expecting more. This is the same certificate I got as last time when I played about the same amount of time and had an average bet of $65 and lost about $400. Inconsistent to my eye

Hi Marc

I've also have been receiving lots of email offers for their CR events. Our downside is that we are either on a existing cruise or coming off a cruise. The "Pick Your Own Payout" promotion was a great offer and told CR that was an excellent promotion and hope that it can be offered again next year. If we weren't on Anthem in October, would have loved to take both offers since it was offered for both Oasis and Allure, a week apart.

Hi Alla

I'm beginning to think is a new program really coming out or was this CR way to take away the cash rebates?

Hi Nick

I'm feeling your pain and as a frequent cruiser like you, I feel it's just not worth spending more time and money in the casino anymore.

Hi Cheryl

I know we are fortunate to live in driving distance, the downside is, my Mr Wonderful does not want to fly to go on other ships since it's so convenient to drive to Bayonne.

Not everyone is getting these certificates or invites to CR events, some newbies are getting a small amount of "freeplay" which CR tells me is not applicable to us in a higher tier.

As a frequent cruiser, I have applied all my certificates to my 10 future Anthem sailings which takes us through 2018. I'll be receiving 4 more certs. before year ending so I will be spending less time and money in the casino, don't need to reach that level for a $1000 certificate when the $500 would be fine. And I'm in agreement with you Cheryl, those 3 & 4 nights sailings are just not worth our time and money since we have to add in airfare, hotel, meals, transportation to and from airport and on other CR events, we are already on a cruise. Like I said above, one of the CR events which I would have loved to do is "Pick Your Own Payout", but we'll be on Anthem. As much as I would have loved to select the Tiffany gift, the football tickets would be my choice.

I know time goes by so fast when we're on a cruise and it would be great if we all can sail together again one day, Alla, Mary, Nick, Marc, Cheryl, Tami and I need to add Graham, even though we have not sailed with Graham yet. I'll fly down to Florida if I had to, with or without DH. Hope to see you all again in the near future.

Re your comment to Alla- I did like the cash back program... sigh...

Would one of your Anthem sailings be over Halloween 2017? I just booked that last week.

These were on the Majesty of the Seas and the same host. Club Royale can't do much other than send an email to the ship

And that's not going to change anything. I will see this host in December and ask him about it

I sure hope we can all sail again too Linda...I have 10 cruises booked right now and none of them match the ones listed above (none include Anthem). We are talking about a 5 night Anthem late August 2018.... But I would hate it that we would have to wait that long til we possibly see you....

FWIW, I have these booked beyond my cruises listed below:

Dec 16; Feb 3 (Super Bowl), Mar. 10, Apr 21- all Majesty 3 night

June 3 2017- Serenade 11 night Arctic Circle

Sept 16, 2017- Harmony

1/2/18- Celebrity Eclipse (Moody Blues and friends concert cruise)

3/19/18- Serenade , 11 nights So. Caribb. (FLL)

It's so hard coordinating schedules...i will

Probably add a couple of 3 night Majesty cruises to the mix...

Hi Linda,

I would love to meet the others. I agree that the certificates and offerings aren't too helpful as we all have cruises booked already, and the certificates are limited as to what you can place them on, as many of this years and some of next years already have certificates applied.

Heres my upcoming cruises, that I have booked. I believe I will see you on the October Anthem.

Anthem 9/17/16

Anthem 10/15/16

Serenade 10/23/16 and 10/30/16

Serenade 12/2/16, 12/12/16

Anthem 1/2/17

Anthem 1/26/17

Vision 10/11/17, 10/23/17

Anthem 12/2/17

Serenade 1/15/18, 1/26/18, 2/5/18

All of our sailings below are on Anthem

9/3/16

10/15/16

10/20/16

12/9/16

1/2/17

2/7/17

4/29/17

12/2/17

1/2/18

2/25/18

Tami, I see you'll be on 3 of ours, nice :)

Nick, 2018 does seem so far away :( . If you guys do an Anthem 5 night Bermuda in 2018, we can definitely add that one to our list as soon as the itineraries come out sometime in April of 2017. We are finally doing that Restless Native Sunset cruise this Sept. the one that got cancelled on all of us last year on Liberty.

Lucky you going on Harmony. I knew we should have at least put a deposit on any sailing way back when, would love to go on Harmony, since we loved Allure, have to think about this one. What a great Serenade itinerary to the Baltics, l know you'll have a great time and you'll also enjoy the Moody Blues cruise.

Marc, nothing yet for Halloween of 17, but that one is a sure possibility for us.

I know you had some Anthem questions, you can email or call me anytime, would be happy to hear from you and help you out with Anthem.

Alla, we have nothing matching your dates :( We are on a B2B (14 nights) right before your 10/29/16 and 26 nights on Anthem would be a little to much, even though I love your itinerary.

Maybe CR will have a great CR event in 2017 that we can all go on again.

CR if your reading this, which I know sometimes you do :), please bring back "It's on The House"/"Pick Your Own Payout" for 2017.

Looks like we are ships passing in the night. (haha)

We have several cruises coming up - but none that I see with my past cruising friends... I do hope Club Royale keeps offers coming that won't conflict with other "already have cruise dates"...
