Well, that level of betting has been enough to get me multiple offers of free staterooms on HAL (insides) or upgrades to outside for $149, balcony for $299 on 7-day cruises.

I am not a member on HAL for their casino program, the wife is, so I am not well versed in their Casino program.

RC is by invitation only, I only quoted what is the norm for RC CR VIP membership.

In comparison to that, you will not get comped for betting $5,

As that is pretty much the minimum bet on any table , everyone in the casino would be getting free cruises and D deep discounted rooms.

CR comped rooms are typically Oceanview or Balcony, so again different level as to HAL.

Upgrades to suites are also common, as well as unlimited drinks, free dining, the list goes on:)

DW has sailed HAL, X, NCL, P&O and RC, her freebies and comps have always been far greater on RC, but then again she does bet minimum $50 on blackjack and does accrue 3000-5000 points on slots.

Happy Days!

When you are in Casino Royale next, asked to be tracked when betting $5 a hand and see what the pit boss or casino host say, will not hurt to ask;)

We will be...in about 35 days! I'm not expecting anything...never have. Husband and I are not big gamblers by any means which is why we were pleasantly surprised at the HAL offers.

I do have an MLife Card with some status from a trip to Vegas last fall, but its not going to be anywhere near 'good' enough to earn anything. I registered my account anyway with RCL's Casino Host already.

Best of luck to you

Remember to talk to the Casino host onboard and ask the Casino manager to track your play.

With the introduction of the new program after March 15th, you may have a good chance of being rewarded a tier level.

Also being MLife there are some perks you will receive, not sure to what level.

Point to note as well, table time is also a major factor in calculating your status

Your overall bankroll on a 7 day cruise, even though not betting the minimum amount that CR states as a qualifying amount may factor into other rewards.

Enjoy your cruise

Happy Days!

I'll report back in 2 weeks - I'll make sure to keep puttin the big chips in my pocket and not color up at the table and see at the end what they have my win/loss at. I also plan to bet exactly $50/bet all the time so I'll see how accurate they are.

CR yesterday told me that whatever rebate I earn in 2 weeks they can STILL apply it to a future cruisss past final payment. It will just be given as onboard credit.

Good luck Linda and have fun!!

My wife plays Let it Ride at $5 which is $20 initial bet. She plays for 3 or so hours each night.

Based on that we have received free Carnival cruises, $199/ea NCL and $199 ea HAL for inside rooms.

We upgrade to Oceanview or Balcony. Our upcoming HAL cruise is a casino comp cruise and the going price is over 3 times what our fare is. Works for us.

On Let it Ride if you bet $5 they calculated not all $20 They do only $5 on the left and $5 on the top also even these two bets going under different categories.

I know 100% (bec my sister playing same) and she didn't get anything from RC but she got offers from Carnival

as for me always free balcony and / or several K from RC and also from Carnival free suites plus money

I have lost count of how many times I talk to different people at Club Royale and get different answers about my comped cruises. I just got off the phone with someone who said nothing has been released past April (2016) - aargh... i am booked on a casino cruise comp in May. through Club Royal. It is really unfortunate that they are so "not together"....

I get frustrated when the information I get from the host onboard (in this case Enchantment of the Seas) gets changed in the system. Onboard the last night of my last cruise, she told me I had a $450 rebate. I'm 100% positive about that. Today CR said the ship sent info that I have a $400 rebate. I know its only $50 but it's the principle. Also, when she told me the rebate was $450, she was at her desk actually looking it up on her computer so there's no chance of it being she was going off of memory.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I spoke with CR tonight. No news on the new program. So frustrating! I have a $600 rebate that I had to do something with by 3/15. So my husband (not a cruiser or gambler) said he would go on a cruise in November or December.

So I called CR to see if they have any tournaments then. The schedule is only out through June. No luck there. As I have to book something or loose the rebate I booked a cruise from San Juan on 11/14 on the Adventure (1st cruise after refurbishment).

Karen from CR did tell me that as long as it's before final payment, I could rebook this on a tournament cruise if the schedule is out and not loose the rebate. So we'll see what happens there.

On a side note....my husband prefers the GS. Got a pretty good deal between the CR rate and the rebate that I splurged and booked an OS. So it should be a blast either way!

Thank you. I thought I read here that they were out if you called, but I was at my office when I called. I will call back tomorrow to see if I can get the schedule. Thank you!

I have a question about Casino Royale if anyone can help.

I was invited in to the program a few weeks ago but have zero knowledge as to what it all means.

We did get a cruise certificate which was great, and we have booked a cruise thru their loyalty section. Can anyone explain how it all works....at least for the moment...as reading this thread it seems things are changing.

Thanks.

Just off Enchantment (again). Last night of cruise, host says I dont get a free cruise cert cause I "didn't lose enough money".! She said need to lose $1,800 to get an inside category free. That's utter nonsense. I got free cruises before when i won OR lost so that statement doesn't make sense. Well, in the morning there was a Free Cruise Cert. on my door, good for an Oveanview category. I applied it to my May 27 Majesty sailing, up to the Max value of $750. Now waiting on my rebate to apply to a future sailing. The host told me as long as I apply the rebate by March 15, it can be used on ANY future cruise, even in 2017.

Still no word on details of new program and we're still being told March 16. I find it hard to believe that the casino reps themselves would find out the details of the new program the day it is released. You would think that they would have a few weeks jump on us. This leads me to believe that the new program may be delayed further. This close to the new program date surely SOMEONE there would know what's coming..

I thought you could take either the rebate or the free cruise offer, but not both.

I wonder what's going to happen on my March 13 sailing. Will I cruise three days under the old program and four days under the new one?

It really looks like Club Royale is handling this rollout quite poorly.

Marc, you can take the comp on ONE cruise and the rebate on another. After March 15 cruises, the rebate is apploed as payment toward those cruises. Rebates can be earned up to March 15 and must be applied by March 15 or they're lost. So by March 15 I will have another cruise booked (June 2017 Norway is the one I want to apply the rebate to as payment)

The new program will start on sailings departing March 16, so you'll be under the current program. If the program is delayed again, you'll get another rebate

See, that would bug me. If my sailing (March 13 for 7 nights) is under the current program, and a primary benefit of the current program is earning a rebate, and if I have to apply the rebate by March 15, then I'm out of luck. In some sense, it's the worst of both worlds.

Still, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they handle this transition better than I'm expecting.

CR informed me that I need to have my cruise paid in full by March 15/16 before they could apply the casino credit because I didn't book through the casino, otherwise, I lose the rebate :( The rebate wouldn't toward the cruise payment but it would be an onboard credit.

I had an unused rebate. I'm cruising after the 3/15. I called and they were very nice and flexible. They first offered me an upgrade, then a credit towards future cruise this year, last since those didn't work I got OBC. I was happy with that.

He also pointed out that my rebate wouldn't be "lost" if I didn't get it. It would roll into the new program. It is just hard to accept when they make it so mysterious. I wouldn't be surprised if I'd been better off leaving it. They said mailers r being sent on the 15th to let people know what tier they r in.

I would call and see how it would be handled. Worst case- as soon as your winning a nice chunk- quit and don't give it back.

Call back! I had 2 rebtes applied to 2 cruises later this year as payment and they aren't paid off!

Nick, I find it interesting that they told you that you could use the rebate toward any future cruise I, even into 2017. When I asked about that specifically, CR told me I had to sail by December 31.

Mary

I know and thats what they told me before but Monday they said ANY future sailing. I guess they decided if we earn a rebate that we shouldn't lose it.

I don't think that is what Nick means. He's not "buying" a pile of chips and then immediately walking away. He's just messing with their count at the end of the session when he's done playing. They definitely try to figure out how much you have when you leave vs what you started with, at least at the craps table. There was a guy, on my last cruise, who would usually walk away with all his chips and each time they would spend a minute or two figuring out how much he was up or down and then plug it into the computer. Just from watching and listening to the dealers I figured out that he generally started with 4-6k in chips and left when he was down about two or up a lot.

i always color up because they get miffed if you don't for just this reason and i am afraid that when they put it in the computer they will short you or something but in any case, i always put my black $100 chips in my purse throughout the game inconspicuously and then color up the smaller chips at the end.
