Enjoying reading another one of your amazing reviews!

We did the Glory in April and were finally able to see Grand Turk & HMC.....beautiful islands that I could visit over and over and never get tired of. We have actually talked about flying in to Grand Turk and staying for a week. We found the greatest bar/restaurant right on the water when we went and spent most of the day there. If we could find a way to stay in HMC for an extended visit we would do that also.

Thanks for following along!! GT & HMC are our favorite ports. We are so happy to be visiting GT three times, and HMC twice this year!

Welcome to Nassau!!!

We are scheduled to arrive in Nassau at 7am, and sail at 4pm. We woke up a little after 6am, just as the Splendor was entering the harbor. We are the first ship to arrive in Nassau today. There eventually will be five…..

Barb and I discuss our plans for the day…..

CS1012.JPG

Speaking of plans, here are ours for today. First, let me tell you that my cruise history tells me that this is our 16th visit to Nassau. That doesn’t count the 10 or so times that my friends and I flew in on golf vacations, staying at hotels on Paradise Island, and Cable Beach. We have done just about everything there is to do in Nassau, a lot of them twice or more. But today we are going to try something we’ve never done before, a day pass to the British Colonial Hilton. Patti had seen some positive reviews of this location right here on Cruise Critic, so what the heck! We booked in advance online (resortforaday dot com), the price being $60 per person, but you got a food and beverage voucher of $40 per person back. Sounds like a good deal to me! The deposit at the time of booking was $12 per person, and you paid the balance upon arrival. If you don’t wish to book in advance, they will take walk ups, if space available, for $65 per person. Just be aware that they do not take cash, and all transactions are done with a credit or debit card.

We waited for the initial rush of passengers debarking, and about 8am we left the ship to head to the British Colonial Hilton…..

Once through the doors to the patio and beach area, the first thing we saw was the Carnival Fantasy backing into her berth…..
