West Coast Gal Posted July 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2015 Anyone know the information . . and why they created them on some ships and not others?
NavyVeteran Posted July 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Golden Princess, Grand Princess, and Caribbean Princess. Why: Because they thought it was a good idea at the time. Why not the others: Because they thought it was not a good idea at the time.:)

fishywood Posted July 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Star Princess was supposed to have the same refit as Golden and Caribbean: Casino relocated from Deck 6 to Deck 7, new Crown Grill and window suites on Deck 6. And Star was actually scheduled to be done before the other two, but the drydock was cancelled and window suites never subsequently added. On Grand they managed to add the window suites to Deck 6 not by relocating the casino, just truncating it--a design not pursued further to this point. bob brown Posted July 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Don't know if the OP is interested, but anyway, NCL also added some "window suites" to a couple of its ships during major drydocking a few years ago... the NCL Star and NCL Dawn lost their forward "Spinnaker" observation lounge, and a bunch of new cabins and suites were added, including some non-balcony, floor-to-ceiling window suites.... I was in a Grand window suite last year, will be in a Caribbean window suite this year . . . was looking at the Star for a possible cruise
