No flowers, no pillow menu, and no appetizers on the Summit June 21 sailing but we did not ask for appetizers. If they were available, we were not aware of it. But, we were not in our room at 4:00. We did have fresh fruit and our ice bucket was filled daily when they brought the fresh tea. We sailed Aqua.

The only flower is the rose from captains club on the first formal night.

The pillow menu was in the blue book. But the books are got so is the menu.

Appetizers are not left if you don't fill out the form. At one time you had to be in the room or they would not leave them. No great loss missing them.

On Equinox now. We received laundry bag with slippers and lip balm. Enhanced toiletries replaced each day. So far we have received three bags. We asked for a firmer pillow and received excellent pillows. Sparkling wine. Tea each day. Canapes first day but not bothering again. No flowers. Water bottles each day. And we love Blu. There is currently a noro code onboard which is a pain. Last night at 9pm the queue for ATD reached back to the Martini Bar on both sides. No one is using the buffet (crew serving). The gym was closed yesterday. Such a pain as it was the cruise before ours where it occurred and we are paying for it. :(

My fellow x-cruisers!

Some sparkling wine / champagne rules:

Blanc de blancs just means it is a white sparkling wine/ champagne made of white chardonnay grapes.

Blanc de Noirs is a white sparkling wine / champagne made of red grapes.

Vintage champagnes / sparkling wines only use grapes of the same year. If they are gone they are gone.

Assemblage champagnes / sparkling wines use grapes and wines from all different years some older than 100 years. Only that way can a trade mark taste may be obtained over the years. A Moet should taste the same no matter how good / bad the harvest was.

So reading blanc de blancs doesnt mean it isnt a champagne. On board celebrity though it is not. It is not even mentioned if it is produced in barrels or bottles which would be a main difference between champagne and sparkling wine.

Now enough of the smartypants.

Wishing you all a good day! :)
