Any positive reviews of Bottomless Bubbles?

My wife drinks a lot of sodas and they aren't cold cans but they pour them over ice when you order them, never before. She had never had a flat one or had any problem with getting one either. They don't know whether you are ordering a mixed drink or a coke until you order one. If you drink lots of cokes it is well worth the money, like someone said that in dining room they will have one waiting for you after a few days.

You know, I have rarely had a problem with the soda package and I buy it on every cruise I go on. It's usually the first thing I buy once onboard. It's one of the relatively few purchases I actually make onboard most of the time. Yes, if you go to a lido deck bar in the middle of the afternoon the soda cans will be warm. Basic nature as they are not refrigerated. The coke usually moves pretty fast so even a half full can won't be sitting out for long enough to get flat. And you can always just ask them to open up another new can for you if it's that big an issue for you. The bartenders are still in the business of keeping their customers happy.

In the mdr after the first night, most good servers Will have a can or two waiting for you on the table, and it seems to be happening more and more these days than in the past. Two is usually enough at dinner.

In the comedy club, just go up to the bar and get your soda yourself, much quicker and won't be watered down when it finally gets to you. It boggles my mind how some people can't even be bothered to do that for themselves.

On lido, same deal. No place is more than a 30 second walk from a bar. I wouldn't expect the servers to get to me quickly as I am not the only one ordering anything and I like getting the drink right away.

Honestly, the program has always been of good value for me and I rarely even have to wait at the bars for a soda even during busy times. It doesn't hurt to slip the bartender a single or two from time to time either. Lol.

I wish they would use those Freestyle machines. I bet the bartenders do too.

And the ship would start looking like a movie theatre with all those big honking machines standing every where. And think of the cost to Carnival (and then to the passengers) to have to put new plumbing in every place that a machine has to be installed. It could only be done when ships are in dry dock. I hope they NEVER do it.

Yes and wait another 30 to 40 minutes for them to bring it! That's crap!

Anyone who orders a drink of any kind from a wandering bar waiter, whether on the lido deck, on the lanai, in the casino, or anywhere else on the ship will wait anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes to get that drink brought to them. All you have to do is watch the process they go through. They walk around and collect as many orders as they can so they will have a full tray when they start to deliver them. They take that order to a bar, hand it in and then go out to collect another bunch of orders. When they come back to the bar with the second set of orders, their first order is waiting on a tray. The ice is melting and all the fizzzzzz is flying away in any drink there. They then take that tray and start to deliver the drinks. That is why it takes 30 to 40 minutes to get a drink, and that is why the drinks are less enjoyable or flat. The ice melts. If you would walk up to the bar yourself and order the drink, you first few sips will be the best. Then if you walk around with that drink and it takes 30 - 40 minutes to actually finish it, you will have the same tasting drink as the one the waiter would have delivered to you after his 30 - 40 minute travels; only it would be last sips, not the first ones. Using good logic anyone should be able to figure that one out.

We have always purchased the Bottomless Bubbles program, sure I would prefer an ice cold can but it is what it is. There service is not always Johnny on the spot. If you plan to drink soda it is the cheapest way to go. I have tried to make friends with one or two bar tenders who treat me right when I treat them right.

I have purchased Bottomless Bubbles on all but one cruise - my recent Alaska one. It is always a good value for me. I take my carnival insulated cup with me to help keep it cold. I find it much easier to just go the bar myself to get the cup filled (usually in the Serenity area). The Breeze also has the fountain Coke at the rum and tequila bars on the pool deck, and that is my preference while watching Dive in movies.

We have purchased bottomless bubbles on all of our cruises. We honestly never have trouble getting service. As far as flat goes, I dont think I would notice it as much as I would at home, cause I really just need something cold.

I purchase the bottemless bubbles too and have never had a flat drink served to me. Also, we usually close out our evening in the casino and when I would order my last 'drink' the waiter would bring me a can of Sprite Zero to take back to the room. All it took was me asking 1x and every night he'd automatically bring me one.

We got BB for our boys on our last cruise, and neither of them ever had a problem getting served or receiving warm or flat soda. I'm not sure I would do it again only because the younger one didn't use it enough to justify the cost, but our older son did.

Whether you buy the package or not, I can't get with being served some damn hot soda. Until they start to use guns or at least refrigerate the cans, we won't be buying the soda package. I'm not a big soda drinker anyway but DH loves Pepsi. Since they don't serve that and the stuff they do serve is hot, no thanks on the soda package. It's reasonably price. I just think the way they serve the soda is unreasonable. Surprised at how many people don't mind.

I am quiet surprised by how many people want "gun soda".

One thing I really liked on Celebrity was that I was given a can. Always nice and cold, given the whole can, a glass of ice if I wanted it.

Diet Coke from a soda machine is a totally different drink from Diet Coke in a can or bottle because the soda version contains saccharine so you have that horrible sacchrin aftertaste. So for me the only decision is whether I want to bring a 12 pack of cokes on, purchase a soda package that includes Diet Coke in a can, or purchase my diet cokes individually. Since I often buy a bottle of liquor from bon voyage department the bottomless bubbles program give me juices to mix with that. One trick on the juices though, if you ask for a glass of juice the bartenders will fill up a small glass with ice and add juice. This does not give you enough juice to mix with your liquor. I always have them give me a glass of juice with no ice and a separate large glass of ice then I can pour in my liquor and juice in the right amounts. For those of you wondering how I carry the liquor around the ship, I simply pour it into my Carnival Tervis mug and that's all I carry around with me.

Yup I actually prefer a fountain soda if I'm drinking soda to a can in general. However I would be o.k. with a cold can. Hot/warm over ice is just gross to me.

As for the diet coke Jana60, understood. I don't drink diet soda but I understand not wanting it from a gun if it has that terrible after taste.

In the MDR we got ice cold sodas, but everywhere else they were warm. We didn't mind it and felt we got our money's worth. We liked the fruit punch the.bartenders make--pineapple juice, orange juice and grenadine. Blends great with rum!

So, if I go get the soda myself, can I just ask for a can of unopened diet coke?

I could drink 4 cans of diet coke easy in a day so I think the Bottomless Bubbles is a good idea. But only if I can get an unopened or non-flat soda. I can't stand flat soda or warm soda and I never pour my soda over ice. If that is all I can get I'd probably end up avoiding it.

It's been my experience 100% of the time that they will not give you an unopened can with the soda card. The only exception was the dining room. Other than that it was always a hot can poured over ice.

Wow. That seems odd to me. If my husband and I both have the unlimited soda and we both go ask for a glass of soda and they are pouring from cans anyway, it seems to me that one of two things will happen: either they will pour the first glass from an open can of soda and the second from a new can, or they will pour both cans from an unopened can. My husband will drink his in about 30 seconds and get another immediately. It's mind boggling to me that they wouldn't just give us a new can if we asked for it. I suppose I'm going to try and ask anyway.

I know we've been given the remainder of the can they opened - they poured what would fit into the glass & set the can beside the glass. I just don't remember if it was with the soda card or when we just paid for soda as we consumed them.

Does anyone know if you can ask for two unopened cans when ordering with the BB card? I wouldn't mind pouring one over ice and taking the other back to the room to chill in the mini fridge or the cooler. I would assume that there is no "wait 5 minutes between" for soda like Cheers.

They wouldn't give me one unopened can much less two. I wouldn't plan on this at all and there is a five minute wait between soda as well.

We have only been on one cruise but DH purchased Bottomless Bubbles (I drink Mt. Dew so I brought my own). He asked for a whole can and ice was added to his tumbler. He never had an issue getting service. For us it was worth it and we will purchase it again in January for him and the girls.
