How to get onboard cruise credits.

This topic got started on another thread and is an interesting topic on its own: how does one get onboard cruise credits before they get on their next HAL ship?

3. Sign up on a prior HAL cruise

4. Travel agent perk

7. Compensation offered for acknowledged prior cruise deficiencies

IMO your list pretty much covers it. I believe one can also purchase OBC if one wanted to.

I am cruise in January. I am thinking of other cruises (Hawaii) maybe another place. If I sign up for a cruise will I also bbe able able to get a perk when I come home. I got a offer last year after I returned from a cruise. Can I double dip

Some people get the "Welcome Home" ZPM offers.

 

Everybody gets the ZPM offers. If you don't specifically receive an e-mail from HAL upon your return home, you or your travel agent can just quote the "ZPM" when booking within a certain time frame and you will get the OBC.

For us its pretty easy. Never book directly with HAL and use a cruise agency that is offering decent onboard credit incentives (which can be several thousand dollars on long cruises). And we agree that owning 100 shares of CCL (and RCI) pays lots of dividends in terms of OBC.
