The corner of the living room as you walk in. To the left is a walk in closet, to the immediate right is a bunk that drops down out of the wall. The entire front is windows. Loved the view. If you look on the wall, you can see the two remotes for lowering the shades.

We still had a bit of time so we wandered down to the Havana bar area and noticed that there were still people coming on the ship. It was well after 3:30 which told me we were going to leave late. We headed down for the muster drill and after it was over then headed back up to the Havana Bar area for sail away. This was the first time we have not been on an open deck for sail away.

Bermuda was fun for us but that was a decade ago and was a land based vacation/wedding. Long story but a friend was getting married there lots of bells and whistles.

We did it as a land based trip as well, stayed in the Hamilton Princess which was nice albeit a bit pricey.

Here are some pic's from the Havana bar area. For those who have sailed the old Destiny, this used to be the aft pool. What Carnival did to this area was nothing short of spectacular and is the basis for the entire aft section of the being built Vista.

Hi, Love your review and photos.

Do you happen to have any of the seating areas around the ship which would be good before or after dinner and for people watching, other than lounges?

I read that unlike other Carnival ships there is no seating on the Promenade deck by the Casino.

Not sure if the Lobby is the only option. We're not really drinkers, and don't spend too much time in our cabin. Thanks if you have any.

Seriously looking at April 10th 5 day to Bermuda

I can tell you, that itinerary isn't nearly enough time in Bermuda.

I sailed Glory from Norfolk in October 2011. We docked at 8 am and left at 4 pm the next afternoon and that really only gave us the one full day. There wasn't enough time to really get out and do or see anything the next morning.

That's why I'm going back this October on Splendor. We have from 8 Monday until 4 Wednesday. And still can't narrow down the things I want to do and places I want to see to be able to fit it all in.

Bermuda cruises are expensive, too. As much as I love the Spirit-class ships, I don't sail for the ship and I just wouldn't feel I was getting my money's worth for that amount of time in port.

Jimbo - I keep reading about how nice it is back in the Havana Club. Is there a separate buffet line there or do you go through the regular buffet and just take your food back there? Glad to hear they have Latin music in the evening. IMHO, that's been the best addition to Carnival's entertainment in the past several years. So happy to see Latin bands on my last few cruises. :D

So THAT's the Havana Bar, we will definitely be eating there the first day. Finding seating for 6 on the Lido tends to be impossible at Embarkation

I was shocked at how long it lasted as not being crowded at all! It was day 7 before it it was really where you could notice it.

Thanks for the kind words, Oceans Plaza aft near the Alchemy bar has seating where people hung out a lot (including us) is very good for that. It is a wide open space, entertainment near by and a good flow of people. It will be a fair amount aft of the casino.

It does not have a separate buffet line. There are however two omelet stations that were the least busy we have ever seen on a Carnival ship. We had discovered these when we slept over for the naming ceremony in New Orleans back in November 2013. There are also some Cuban breakfast items (and lunch items during that time as well) right on the side of the bar.

May I add some additional info here about this area. Hopefully I am not jumping in too early here as you may be posting more later.

JiJi and Cucina del Capitano are back here also.

At lunch, JiJi has a line very similar to Monogolian Wok on other ships where you choose your noodles and veggies choices and the chefs will add your meat or seafood and sauce of choice and then cook it fresh for you.

On other side, at Cucina del Capitano, you are given a list of choices of pasta, sauce and ingredients. You mark your choices, hand the sheet in and your dish is made fresh for you. They also have Caesar salad and bread available here.

JiJi and Cucina del Capitano are extra fee venues for dinner for $15pp. Worth the extra fees.

I agree that it is much easier to find room here to eat. Many times, if we chose food from the buffet, we brought our food to meet and eat with our friends.

Feel free to jump in whenever! ;) Having JiJi and the Cucina there are very convenient at lunch time. I will discuss dinner at Cucina in a while also. BTW, I love your name here!
