Explore 4 Free Beverage Promo

Just booked for a cruise in Dec 2016.

Wondering about the Explore 4 Free Beverage Promo. Is it a Beverage card like Princess has their coffee card, a sticker you keep on your account card, or something totally different? We are getting 2. Can we just activate 1?

It is included as part of the magnetic strip on your stateroom card and not a separate card. You are not required to use.

Unlike mixed drinks which have a waiting time to obtain each drink, you can pick up a few cans of soda/water every time you pass near a bar and keep them chilled in your minibar.

The Signature Beverage Card that comes with the Explore 4 package used to be a separate card from your ID card.

But HAL changed that over the summer.

Just give the bar tender or wine steward your ID card whenever you order a cocktail, bottled water, sodas, specialty coffees/teas, etc.

You are limited to 15 drinks per day.

Can you use the Signature Beverage card on Half Moon? We also got the Explorer 4.

Sadly, no. Unless they change the system before the Caribbean season. Half Moon Cay is actually listed as one of the exclusions.

Half Moon Cay doesn't have the computer system like on the ship where they run your card through the machine.

Any time we have been on HMC -- we get a hand written receipt.

So do they give you a written receipt for the Signature Beverage card while on Half Moon or can not use at all.

The SBP cannot be used at all on HMC (unless, as POA said, they changed their systems). Charges for drinks purchased at HMC will be charged to your shipboard account.
